I'm learning so much about suspension following this thread. Thanks for being so detailed in your findings!

I'm very interested in how this setup goes, as I'll be looking for a similarly budget-friendly and data-filled solution with minimal fuss.

Thanks, Brant, for the codrive. Your driving is getting a lot better!
Thank you for the sponsor, the advice, and for making my Miata look good in motion! If I can get as smooth as you I'll be doing great.
I've finally conquered the snap oversteer with much smoother throttle and steering ...

Steve is awesome and has my back for this event, but my buddy David in his S5 Scion iM is interested in making this his second event. Anybody willing to sponsor him (perhaps in exchange for a future drive in his project MR2)?
was he at the last event?
and there's actually more than 4 people in ...

Soooo...
Here's a question.
The "Classic" format was conceived be me and Steve as something different to do between open events. We expected less people, as we thought making it just basic pure fun without having to worry about novice walks and corner captains and all that would make it more ...

He can only do morning. Therein lies the rub. I'd be willing to give up my spot for him if necessary, since I'm already in the Late Session as well.Loren wrote:The system lies. There is no wait list. There is never a wait list. Go to the Late Session, it's not full!

So it looks like the morning filled up and my friend is on the wait list. Is there a way to know how many are waiting so I can give up my spot (I'm doing a double) for him? Is it a better idea to wait until the final close on Wednesday in case somebody else drops out?

but I "need" that apr flash for other purposes. no help here I guess.
I'll vouch for you. What's Mrs. Bill's phone number?
Woops. Never looked too closely at modified classes. Didn't realize there was one less. Thanks for the ...

I mean if we're talking literally NOBODY, I can get myself some springs, play around with parts, and enjoy the easy stickers all season.
And I'm technically already out of stock in SCCA because I took my visors out.

Tempting, but mod class involves throwing more money at my car. Maybe next season once I've upgraded the performance of the seat warmer.

Rain or not, we are planning to try to test-patch the asphalt in a place or two. Nothing crazy, just wanna see.
If anyone has a shovel, or better yet a tamper, if you don't mind getting it a little dirty, bring it along!
I'm towing, and co-driverless again. Anyone want a co-driver/coach? No ...

Brant's 99 Miata Set Up
I'll likely go with Joe Brannon for the install if he allows me to throw money at him. I'll see if he can give it a good inspection while he's at it. This has all been invaluable. I'm glad to have joined such an enthusiastic and helpful community.

Brant, I'm the "somebody more experienced" that drove your car at the last event - an "instructor run."
I hate to tell you this, but your snap oversteer is not the car.
If there's worn parts that need to be replaced (what was that thunk when I hit the brakes at the turnaround?), then by all means ...
