Re: March 14th Championship Post Event

I am getting dizzy from all the avatars showing cars running at Brooksville. They all look the same to me, and a lot of silver cars to make it even worse.

Autocrossers don't let other autocrossers use scissor jacks. I can loan you some money for a harbor freight aluminum jack if you are going through hard times. :)

That's "F in FAST" fun for the driver, but not really for the courseworkers.
Practice runs during a competition sounds odd.

Why don't we carry over cone penalties to the red flag re-run?

Re: Agricultural at Brooksville

I have also seen car tires debeaded and deflating a bunch of times in the grass at Brooksville. Dude rolls back into the pits and his wheels look like they are wearing a hula skirt.

Re: Agricultural at Brooksville

If you go in the grass. Slowly get back on the pavement and avoid the racing line until you are sure your car functions properly, and to make sure that you don't drop any dirt on the racing line. Unfortunately this is going to mean you will go off course once again. But don't worry, I already called ...

Re: Rerun for Red Flag after Off Course?

we were REALLY trying to discourage people from going in the grass (that's usually because someone is concerned for preserving the grass, not the case at Brooksville).
I bet the farmer that makes a living growing hay there would disagree. I have always called people on the grass off course out of ...

Re: POST Jan 17, 2015 EVENT

And, yes with the new classing, M1 isn't a really a bump up in class anymore, it's just different types of cars that are faster than m3. A bump up would be to M0, but no one runs there.

Sounds like the rules need tweaked then, since bumping is a major part of the mod rules. Flip flop all the ...

Aren't you running meth injection too (doesn't really add power, but definitely helps).

That was the power steering reservoir. I was just messing with you. lol

I think I said before that you may have a point about classing. But telling me about it is the wrong avenue.
You need to talk to the ...

Oh wait...that's what Jeremy does.
I don't plan on running in m1 any more. Sorry for any pain this has caused you.

Would anyone in R1 be mad if I ran my POS car with 150 ft lb of torque and an eyeballed alignment on 3 year old Hankook street tires in R1?

This car is obviously prepped way ...

Re: Rerun for Red Flag after Off Course?

I voted yes.

Doesn't make sense that someone with a zillion cone hits gets a lucky dog.
and someone off course doesn't. Both competitors essentially have a "done" run.
Also this could cause people to choose to take out cone walls as opposed to just going off course and around them when you get way ...

At that pace these will last me another 4 years.
Any grandfather clause for people that don't have money to buy tires every six months?

A new set of tires will probably cost me more than a used miata.

Just playing devil's advocate, but isn't giving Koni Yellows to a novice similar to giving him Hoosiers?
Should be working on smoothing out his inputs manually and not with dampers.
