Between 2 opinions that result in a DNF, that's 60% of the vote. I think's it's enough to go forward with a DNF being DNF.

Here's to hoping we find a place next weekend and don't have to go back to NH the weekend of the 15th.

Re: Rerun for Red Flag after Off Course?
Having run with many clubs, here's my $.02:
1. You go off course / DNF prior to a red flag: It's still a DNF. Most experienced auto crossers would recognized they went "off" before the red flag anyways.
2. You can hit as many cones as you want while staying on course prior to a red flag: You got ...

Re: Agricultural at Brooksville
When we ran the enduro-cross this year, there was a turn-around near the timing trailer. I watched many cars put 2 off...especially in the wet sessions. If I recall, most workers were calling this as a "DNF", even though there was not much harm done.
I would go with the rule of "2 or more off is ...

Re: POST Jan 17, 2015 EVENT
Course layout is a big factor. My crystal ball predicts there will be a lot of scenarios at Brooksville where M2 cars can/will be faster than M1 cars...mostly because of course designs. Sadly, I won't be around to witness it, but I'll be happy to support the whines and cries of the M1 guys from NH ...

You we're able to almost go straight through the "fingers"...especially the last part of it. I tried that on my first run, but hit 2 cones.Tim_M wrote:My video...I find the tire deflection and suspension compression most interesting.
Still much too far from the cones.

Aren't you running meth injection too (doesn't really add power, but definitely helps).
That was the power steering reservoir. I was just messing with you. lol
I think I said before that you may have a point about classing. But telling me about it is the wrong avenue.

Re: POST Jan 17, 2015 EVENT
So his COMPETITION would actually be in M2. That's where the faster cars seem to be with the class reshuffle...at least at Brooksville.
And yes, Jeremy is freaky fast... Now I want Jimmy John's.

Jesse: Smooth driving and nice turns-tire feedback tells the tale. I had you in the fishbone (my video showed I was inches straight thru), but you covered me everywhere else. I will have to start working on this left foot brake thing...

Re: POST Jan 17, 2015 EVENT
Oh wait...that's what Jeremy does.
I don't plan on running in m1 any more. Sorry for any pain this has caused you.
Would anyone in R1 be mad if I ran my POS car with 150 ft lb of torque and an eyeballed alignment on 3 year old Hankook street tires in R1?
This car is obviously prepped way ...

Jason, just bump up to M1 where the heavy cars are and win M1 class. Oh wait...that's what Jeremy does.jaball77 wrote:Here's my 47.7 run. Squeaked into 3rd place in M2 on my last run...
I think we need to create a new class just for modded S2000s.

Re: Alignment shop in Tampa
My car goes to Speed Syndicate. Only because I'm too lazy to do it at home.
If you are the kind who likes to tinker, learning to do it at home is a good idea. Also, you could invest in a camber gauge and toe-plates to make life a little easier.

Loren,
We were planning on attending both so Sarah can get pics of both sessions. I'm happy to instruct in the AM. I'm registered to run in the PM.

That's true... if you didn't pay any attention to the changes that we made for the 2014-15 season.

Re: No More Hankook RS3 225/45/17 ?
Guess there is always a 245/40/17 to use?
That size really doesn't work for me either because it would bump me out of M3 and I doubt they would fit. :headscratch:
How does that bump you from M3? You can run whatever tires size you want in FAST "M" classes. Only power-adders and serious ...
