Tonda and I had a great time! Driving that format was more challenging than regular autocrossing but I think that's a big part of what made it so fun.
*Organizing* this format was probably a lot more challenging than driving it though. FAST events are always well-ran, but this one was particularly ...

Tonda's fastest:
42.1 on 615 tires...moan. Tonda must have had the same play list as Soraya and Eva. :smack:
42.4 technically. I'm too lazy to mark the start and finish before the event. I just approximate both after the event.
Her car placement and throttle modulation are pretty good. Looking ...

We do have RS-RR and for my size, can be had for $335 on ebay today. We caught a coupon which put them slightly under $300. RE-71R run about $500 for a set.
Joe B posted a review on our site, by Danny Kao comparing them to RE-71r and Rival S. IIRC the Feds were about a second slower compared to ...

Tonda's fastest:

Kind of odd that we both cooked the turn-around on our fastest laps.

(It will be light on prep for M1 though)
Somehow, I think you'll muddle through.
BUT... doesn't the package you're installing on your car sort of negate the fancy TRD kit that's currently on your car? If so, I'd say your car becomes the same as a modded "base" FR-S... and should probably be in ...

What about a PAX class?
But really, if you have to break out a calculator to determine who "won the race" are you really "winning"? ;-)
The PAX system is an attempt to quantify *driver's* performance. This can't be done with raw time when so many drivers are in so many different cars at different levels of preparation ...

I was sold from the first time I heard of the class. This will be the first time I have owned "the right car for the class" and competed at "max prep."Loren wrote:Taking the plunge, eh?Z1NONLY wrote:our car is being converted to SSC

Tonda and I had a great time! The course was great. (and challenging) Going slow in the right places seemed more important than usual, but there were still plenty of spots to fly.
Great pics Phillip!

Great pics as always! (Great driving Sunday too)
Here's my fastest clean run (32.209):

My "31.991+DNF" was actually a 31.991+1. (I was dirty, but on-course)

*Edit* I just noticed that they counted my red-flag time and tossed one of my other runs to facilitate the re-run. My first run shows as 47.965 :rolling: They still counted my fastest run so no harm/no foul.
That was my bad. I didnt realize you were on course when the red flag happened and I ...

Thanks for another well-organized event. Tonda and I had fun, as we always do with FAST.

And my excuse for the extra steering input entering the first slalom lol:

Lol.
We just put a new set of RE71R's on the car and killed the outside edges on the left side (two days with right-hand turn-arounds) in ~20 runs. They seem to evaporate with heat.
We will flip them on the wheels for this event...but we are supposed to be "scuffing them" in for two events in ...

Wow, that was my first AutoX not at Brookesville, and I overinflated my terrible OEM tires, felt like a slip n' slide at first lol. What a really fun, inventive course.
