Gloves

Postby nc4me » Thu Jan 07, 2010 9:11 am

I don't need driving gloves, but I want to keep my hands warm this event without them slipping off the wheel. Can anyone recommend where to get gloves that won't slip?

I just wear my motorcycle gloves and take them off to drive. I'm sure you could just buy whatever looks warm somewhere locally and do the same.

I figure I can handle about 8 minutes combined out of the day gloveless.

If you want to wear them all day, most motorcycle gloves have good grip, check out Barney's if you are close. Your best bet will probably be the "cruiser" gear section since those gloves don't really have any protective armor in them which restricts movement a bit.

This Sunday will be painful, forecast as of now says 26 degs @ 8am :(

Hopefully its 95 degs by the following weekend.

Thanks Charles. I was thinking about motorcycle gloves. The ones I used to have when I used to ride are long gone. I'm going to swing by the dealer on fletcher and florida today.

Cheap mechanic's gloves from your local parts store. Not the warmest things out there, but definitely decent for driving.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Picked up some moto-x gloves from the motorcycle store today. They match my car and grip the wheel really well. They were only 16.00.
