Would it present a problem for Liz and I to change class from F to B just for the Sunday event ? The Hoosier's have been sitting in the garage since May in eager anticipation of a HSDE or road event and the Endurocross may be a good opportunity to use them.

Sunday is a non-points event, we don't care much about class, anyway. With less than 30 entries, we won't be running by class, either. But, be sure to let Timing know about it Sunday and they'll fix you up. Timing is a VERY laid back environment at an Enduro, shouldn't be a problem.

There was about half a case of Coke left, and that was IT! We'll need enough supplies for essentially 1.5 events. That will cover Saturday and Sunday.

Steve says we need radio batteries, too. AA's.

Lunch for Sunday has been ordered! Pulled pork, potato salad and chips from a local BBQ joint. Should be good stuff.

Workin' up "the plan" for Sunday. We have 29 drivers, and Jamie's "special work assignment" list has about 12 of them listed. Most of those positions are the "easy" jobs, and a few of them are for things we don't even need for Sunday, like Grid (with a car starting every 3-4 minutes, timing can go find a car if they need to!).

But, we are going to break into three groups, which gives us a very limited pool of workers for this event. What I'm saying is that everyone needs to be prepared because it's likely that almost everyone will have to pull course work or other "mission critical" duty when their group is assigned to work, and we may also resort to volunteers to fill some positions.

It'll all work out. It always does.

I missed registration (thought the event was next weekend, not this one) but can't make it on Saturday anyways. Sunday would have been ok. I'll charge the batteries and get the registration information uploaded to the laptop then drop it off in the trailer on Friday evening after work.

Was looking forward to the enduro :-/

As for supplies... how does 10 cases of wather 4 of soft drinks and 8 bags of ice? I can bring additional ice as well as supplies Sunday if it looks like we will need it. Sound good?

We're looking at 75 people Saturday and 40 people Sunday. Extras are fine, so call it 120 people. When it's super-hot, we do 6 drinks per person and still usually run out. So, call it 5 per person. 5x120=600.

Need 600 beverages of some sort.

I'd say 240 cans of soda. 10 cases of 24.

That leaves us needing 360 bottles of water. Minimum. So, 15-20 cases of water.

We're a thirsty bunch.

Any idea when on Friday?

I'm planning on picking up the trailer Friday around 7pm and hauling it to Bville. Doubt I'll be on-site early on Saturday. Not sure we want to leave this stuff in the trailer overnight?

I would think the airport would be pretty secure. Never heard of any problems. The BMW guys leave their equipment out there overnight frequently without issue.

Scott, for reference, I bought 446 bottles of water and 168 soft drinks in September. We ran out of water and there was only a case of soda left after the event.

EDIT: Scratch that, we didn't run out, that I know of. We just didn't have any left.

Loren: I noticed on the Enduro Cross rules under "Course Walking" the course will be open for "walking only". Liz and I have been using our bicycles as pit bikes to and fro but also find it helpful to preview the course on the bike. Are we saying this is prohibited?

Enduro course walking is just like any other event, I just wanted everyone to know that there will not be any opportunity to walk once we start running. Get it done before the driver's meeting or forever hold your peace.

Regarding "riding" a course walk, we don't have a solid policy, but it was discussed recently. I think we decided that motorized devices were out, bikes or other non-powered wheels are tolerated, but not encouraged. Above all, people who are actually WALKING the course always have the right of way. Ride at a reasonable pace so as to not interrupt the walkers as they analyze the course.

In other words, no buzzing the walkers on your bike. The purpose of a course walk is to give everyone an opportunity to "view" the course, not ride it on a vehicle at speed and get a "feel" for it.

And know that in many other clubs, you're required to be on foot unless you're physically unable to walk.

I think you work or live near me (Palm Harbor and Clearwater). I can meet you somewhere Friday to pick up the timing gear if you can't make it to the trailer before it is picked up.

That's funny Charles. If we do bring a bike we'll keep it slow ... and watch out for anybody with a umbrella.

On another subject: I signed Hannah up and paid for her registration but she may not be able to attend. Can I use that as a credit or does she have to use it - in case she has to work and cannot attend?

And yet another: we were planning on staying over in Brooksville rather than driving back to St. Pete. Anyone else staying over and/or is anyone interested in meeting for dinner Saturday night?
