We have discussed doing away with parking on at least one side. I think if we disallowed parking on the finish side, it would help what you're talking about.
Would require us to set the grid up early (like as soon as the trailer is open, even before course setup), set up a barrier of cones at the end of the grid, and probably have people monitor and chase out the people who will inevitably try to park there, anyway. But, it can be done.
Anybody got any reasons why we shouldn't?
As a bonus, it would allow us to move the whole grid a little more to that side, making more room for the cars that are parked on the other side and for people to be milling about, as people are wont to do.
