June 9 Autocross - Brooksville

Postby Native » Tue May 15, 2007 8:48 pm

We need a Chairperson, please.

Anyone who'd like to take this event on, please post up. My offer to co-chair with someone who's never chaired before is still good. It's really easy.

About 3 1/2 weeks 'til this one - please post announcements on the various boards and let's get the word out. It's Brooksville, which means registration will close in just a little over 2 weeks! Rock'n'roll!!!

Steve, I may throw my hat in for this. Let me see what my schedule looks like. I will be in Clay county almost all next week.

Not ready to Chair one yet, but I'll volunteer for Tech and general gopher again.

That's great! Let us know as soon as you know. Have fun in Clay County.

Anyone else, don't wait for him - if you want it, it's still up for grabs! There's always next month...

I said that once. I'll tell you the same thing I was told: "Yes, you are." 8) Either way, on behalf of the as-yet-unnamed-Event Chair, thanks very much for volunteering for tech.

I'd like to do safety again if that's ok. I'd really like to get more experience helping design safe and fun course maps.

I remembered to register for this one in time (unlike the last event ... d'oh! ) so I'll be pulling the trailer, saving Ryan's private truck.

(OK, that was a REALLY bad joke!)

My private truck will still be pulling a trailer up there, just one that looks less like a brick on wheels and is slightly more aerodynamic. :P

Mark, I can co-chair, if you like. I already have a course design ready to be scrutinized and I am also too busy to chair an event myself. :)

Let's give it a go then! I will need to re-read the Chairman responsibility document again.

Sign me up for course setup, I can be there at 7am, and if we don't finish to late I can help with clean up :)

All right!! Looks like we're gonna have us an autocross!

Ron and I had a good time fooling with the course last month, so unless someone cares, he and I can tweak it (if need be - no offense, Muddy  ). If you have it ready, feel free to send it over to Ron so he can get messin' with it with a little time to spare.

I can do registration, or safety, whichever needs to be filled...or both, I suppose...

If I'm towing the trailer anyway, I could pickup the water, soda and ice and just toss them in the trailer. Simple!

Besides, that way I get to choose what I want.

Speaking of regulating - we may have some water left, and may not need 10 more cases...ditto the sodas. May be close, though.
