Annual Awards party and "membership" meeting

Postby Native » Sat Aug 06, 2011 10:02 pm

Come on out and celebrate with and congratulate this year's champs!

WHEN:
Sunday August 28th 12:30 - 3

WHERE:
Tampa Bay Grand Prix (aww-yeah - go karts)
12350 Automobile Blvd.
Clearwater, FL 33762
http://www.tampabaygp.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

DEETS:
We'll be having a short meeting to offer a "state of FAST" speech and discuss whatever business needs to be discussed. We'll be congratulating this year's champs and handing out awards. Oh and there will be food to eat and drinks to drink (no alcohol, please).

In addition to some freebies for the meal, the folks at TBGP have also generously agreed to waive the $5 license fee (for those that don't already have one) if you want to do a little karting. But the laps themselves are on you...

I will be bringing the past award stickers with me, so this is a great chance to get any passed awards that you haven't gotten for the past season.

Nothing is written in stone yet, but we're looking at passing out awards at the end of the same event of the day. So if you have finished in the top 3 of your class, our plan is to give out the awards at the end of the day.

I saw that there was a size minimum, what about a maximum? Ron and I were wondering...

Larger people may not fit. The seats are fiberglass and kind of narrow. 40" waist is probably close to the max.

Yeah, I've heard some complaints to that effect. Of course, I'm sure they'd let you try one on before you put out your money.

Not sure yet if I will make it or not, I found the seats to be too wide. I also had a lot of wheelspin on corner exit........ I suspect both issues are related to the same problem :dunno:

The first is because you're skinny (bring a pillow!), the second is because you don't know how to drive.

C'mon... prove me wrong. :bouncy:
