Check Out My New Toy

Postby Solar » Sat Jan 07, 2012 4:33 pm

I guess it was bound to happen that I would cross over to the dark side someday

Everyone meet Redgie, my 92 Miata

Nice, will it be making an appearance at a local autocross anytime soon?

Redgie might make his appearance in February for the FAST Duel. He is a clean machine but needs a clutch and some minor tuning.

Fred and Redgie should get along, in fact I believe they will be best buds.

Now comes the decision ...... sell the 240 ?

Nah, the dark side isn't a Miata... the dark side is putting a TURBO or V8 in a Miata.

No thanks. I think Charles is too cool for mismatched body panels. I would definitely take it if it was my car. :)

Congrats, Brian. Nice car. It has popup headlights just like your 240. I recently became aware of something called "sleepy eyes". If I had either one of your cars, I would do that. It would set your Miata apart from the others too!

Just out of curiosity, how much would you ask for your 240? Lately, I've been browsing craigslist for 240's, FC RX7s, MR2s, etc. Let me state the obvious. There are some JUNKY 240s out there. Some of them have great, swapped engines - that are broken. Your 240 is pretty nice.

I've seen some 240's with no engines go for $1500. Can't really say what I would ask yet, haven't gotten that far. I know that the asking price would make a lot of people laugh though. :-)
