If the budget allows, I could set up BBQ from Smokin' J's again.
This BBQ is totally awesome and makes the far away cone chasers drool. No one can beat this!! SPC King of lunch.

Maybe opt for two or three vegetarian meals for the carnivorous impaired?

So who uses brakes and wins? I thought my rotors were totally insane but was informed by the professionals they are merely warped - so I will continue to use them until they squeal (like pigs).

Good luck with that, Greg. I doubt many neon owners have put as much effort into one as you. :notworthy:

Well by an act of grace and a little luck I was able to snag a spot, so there will be at least the two of us there showing some Neon love. :lust:
Thanks for all the fun,

As far as I can tell, my SRT-4 is SCCA class STX (2013) or possibly DSP (2013)?

If we had a brooksville drag event I'm sure the neons would out number the miatas. Present company excluded most people driving performance neons/srt-4 that I've run into are scared of turns...

Hey all,

The time is drawing near. There are three areas that I would still like to have covered before the weekend.

1. Lunch
2. Supplies
3. Teardown

If you can volunteer for any of these, please let me know.

Not sure why, they are darn near impossible to launch well at a drag strip. (Youll find that most NSRT drivers aren't too forthcoming with their 60' times, its all about trap speed and ET...)
Thanks for all the fun,

Thanks Scott! I looked back through the post-June event and the trailer cleaning and didn't see anything listed. Anyone know?

However much water you get, I'm guessing we'll need more.

And a request for some Diet Coke or Coke Zero

I found it buried in the post even thread, thanks Steve for making a note of it. Remaining supplies are 8 cases of water, no soda.

I don't get too excited about course maps, but this one looks familiar. did it come from the archives?

No. I made it... but it's been tweaked a lot from the original idea due to safety standards. Maybe it wound up melding into something similar?

Edit: I wanted something that didn't feel like a general SPC course too, oh well I'll have to do something a little more complicated next time. Someone showed me a map concept they had that I really liked and may ask them if I can play with it to make it safety approved for SPC.

No, you've just been autocrossing at SPC for too long. They all sort of look the same after a while. I'm sure we've done something similar to it before, and we've definitely used all of the elements before.

"More complicated" on a small site like SPC usually = too tight. Trust me, the site used to have a really BAD reputation for courses that were too tight. Took us years to get past that.

The site is basically 500x300 feet... because it's surrounded by hard obstacles, take away 75' on the outside of turns on one end and at least 50' on the other end, and you're looking at a maximum usable space of about 375x175. It's wider on one end, so you have a LITTLE more flexibilty than that, but not much.

I think you'll be surprised at just how technical this course will feel. It has a couple "fast" parts, and some really good needles to thread. Should be fun to drive.
