Yes, we discussed it earlier in this thread. It comes and goes.

Is the turnaround random ?
Racing against my NEON is like getting in a fight with a girl, if you win you, you can't brag about it, and if you lose, you hope nobody finds out!

Course looks good to me and no one should get lost. Maybe call this one the "hangover"?
Will go well with the Cuban dryfoot sandwiches and cookies. No Jerky is always a good thing:)

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Steve never intended for it to be optional, and to do so would take away one of the most challenging elements IMO.
The map has been fixed to avoid further confusion.

Nothing to be sorry about. If you hadn't pointed it out and I hadn't fixed it, it would surely have been a problem on event day. Good to go now!rojna wrote:sorryLoren wrote: The map has been fixed to avoid further confusion.

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Trash Talk.
When placing our order for 5th food today and enjoying the Daily Special with my wife.
I asked and we can dispose of our event trash next Saturday in their dumpster on the South side of the Masaryktown Cafe on Rt41.
Their regular sitdown meals are totally awesome and so cheap I cannot believe it.
They didn't even charge for a soda and a coffee = yeesh. We are hooked. Too bad they aren't open on Sundays.
Any of you needing supper on the way home should give this place a try.

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Working up the Run/Work list for next weekend. (next year?)
Just wanted to point out something for all of you who may be wondering "how come I never get the work assignment that I ask for?"
Here's a count of the most-requested positions:
Starter - 9 Requests (we only need 3)
Grid - 13 Requests (we need a maximum of 6)
Timing - 15 Requests (we need 6)
That's 37 requests for 15 positions. And of those 15 positions, 6 of them have to be filled by folks on the "disabled" list who are physically unable to work course for various reason. (and that number is a bit lower than usual this time) And a few more of them are limited to the most qualified and trained people. That leaves no more than maybe 5-7 of the coveted timing/grid/start positions up for grabs at the typical event.
I know most everybody understands this, I just like to put out a reminder from time to time. It's nothing personal... we just can't give EVERYONE an "easy" work assignment. About 45 of the 65 entrants at this event will have to work the course. Odds are, you'll be one of them.

You will find that there's not alot of competition for the Chair and Co-Chair positions which is one of the easiest jobs of all other than getting up a little earlier. Hint....hint.Loren wrote:Working up the Run/Work list for next weekend. (next year?)

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Think it's going to be an S-Drive kinda day Sat. Wish my new tires had made it in. My old ones have way too little tread to drive up to B-ville in the rain.
Cones fear me... The timing lights, they just laugh.
