It's big enough. Have to work around light poles, but they're 200' apart, so that wouldn't be difficult. Would need to have someone survey it for stuff you can't see from the air... surface condition, drains, etc.

Of course, the drive to Normal, IL would be a bit much for most Tampa-area folks.

Frost heaves, potholes...central Illinois pavement is three-dimensional, unless it's an airstrip.

It's a shame that the local autox club has to travel 65 miles for autox when there are these kinds of facilities this close. The lot is hardly being used right now, except for a family of deer that refuse to leave. I can't locate any facts right now but I think I read onetime that they had over 20,000 parking spots. I have seen the lot filled to capacity with eagle talons years back.

Alas, the site owner always gets a vote. Too often, where we see an autocross course, the site owner only sees a parking lot.
