Haha yea the car was great man. For being stock besides tires and springs I'm very comfortable pushing the car. I really think I had a 31 sec in me given one more run as the tires became more and more to life....

We musta changed the integra axle at the chump car daytona race 5 times. Saw many broken parts just like that.
If you have changed this axle before I gotta tell you we had the same type of spine damage on the inboard side. This was due to not setting the axle into the tranny far enough to get past the snap ring. I think the trick is to wack it with a 2x4 (no really) until you feel it snap in, and you'll know it when it does.
I can get you in touch with one of the owners to explain it to you, if you are doing it yourself.

I was thinking that kinda looked like an axle that wasn't fully seated.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
