We had to do that to prevent number duplication between sessions that messes with the timing system and makes Ron grumpy. So, if you notice that your number has been changed, that's probably why. Be sure to check the reg list so you know what number you are actually assigned. (for those of you who are old enough, this is like the Outer Limits... we control the horizontal, we control the vertical, we control what number you get)

But, you don't care about any of that, you want to see the course map! Steve did the primary design work on this one. (yes, I added a little Loren evilness goodness to it.)

Why do all your slaloms have to be a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma? :headscratch:
That never gets old.

Otherwise, nice course.

100 car event full in 6 days. That's a first.

In the bizarre coincidences department, there are exactly 11 novices, 4 of which are first-timers, in EACH session. Giving is a pretty typical 22 total novices, and a pretty light (compared to other recent events) 8 first-timers.

Before anyone asks, there is no waiting list. If there are any cancellations before online registration closes (Oct 9), they are first-come, first-served. If you're looking for one, best bet is to check the entry list often and keep your eye on this forum thread.

Full event. Good course. Trailer tow by Ryan. Lunch by Doug. Too bad we have to wait 2 weeks for it!

Doug, I'll get with you on lunch soon.

Wow that is a devious looking map! Any reason why it's on a Sunday instead of a Saturday? Is TBD being used on the 12th?

We try to mix up Saturday and Sunday events because some people find one or the other easier for various reasons. Sunday is better for TBD, though. (they're either closed or less busy on Sunday, I forget which... I think they may be closed)

Thought I would give this another try. Over did it on the tires though. Was sure the cut off for "street" was TW 100. Dang....now I'm stuck in "race tire". Lesson learned.....check the rules before spending the bucks. Excited to get back out again.

Regarding car numbers, I have "708" pretty permanently on my car and I'm in the late group this time. Can I roll with it, or do I need to plan for some blue tape/magnets?

You can buy #708 as a permanent number and it will be yours for the rest of the season.

Otherwise, if you're in the late session, you should have an odd number just like everyone else in the late session.

If I were to buy a number soon, say in the next few days, would I use it at the next event even though the entry list has a different number listed?

You can change your number up until online registration closes.

After that, you can still change it, you'd just have to do it with the timing folks at the event.

Hey all - so it turns out the issue with my car is a little bit more severe than I initially thought. Seems to be an engine balance issue, so I suspect the guy that mounted my new tires took the car and romped on it and broke something. Unfortunately I can't prove this so I might be SOL...

Anyways - my season might be over already. I'd like to get this event in still if anyone is willing to let me co-drive again.

Additionally, I'm playing with the idea of taking this opportunity to tear the car down and go full race car like Jim's. In the meantime, I'm looking for an el cheapo daily. Something sub-$1000 with A/C. Probably going to go to Tampa Machinery Auction in a couple of weeks, but if anybody has any leads on something, please let me know!!!!

Well, I've got "708" in magnets also, so "807" won't be a big deal. $20 goes a long way in the used-Miata-hop-up-parts market.
