The answer is YES. I had 315s on all four corners of my 96. I did have some VERY minor rub at FULL lock.

Although, I'd recommend getting four C5 ZO6 18x10.5s. You can get very slightly used 18" 710s in 295 or 315s for penny's on the dollar! If I was keeping my car, that's the route I'd go...

Another tight pony car shootout in S3 with 0.679 seconds separating 2nd thru 4th place. Had I not been worried about eating cold pizza, I might not have overcooked my last run and DNF'd ;-)

That's pretty funny:

Fun course without the pin turn. I'd like to see this one again at some point without it. I thought I've seen comments in the past about limiting "drag race" starting elements on courses to limit wear and tear on the cars? As others have mentioned, the pin turn is much worse on diffs, syncros, etc than a drag start will ever be.

Thanks to Steve, Les, and the rest of the crew for a smooth running event.

Yep -- it's part of the standard speech on the drivers meeting card. As well as identifying the novice coordinator for that session. And will keep in mind you're willing to take ballast!

And just to add to that, I know when I give the talk at the driver's meeting I try to identify the noobs too, and I strongly encourage them to go for rides before they drive, to have instructors ride with them, and to not be shy about asking for help. Now, it might not be worded the same way each time, but it's there one way or another.
