Postby Loren » Fri Mar 21, 2014 1:12 am

Woohoo, back at SPC for the first time in 4 months! :bouncy:

Registration is open, and there are about 30 entries already. SPC events usually have more entries than Brooksville events, which means this event will very likely fill up. Get in while you can!

Looks like the Mustangs have EVERYBODY outnumbered so far! What's up with that? The rest of y'all need to hit up your friends and see if you can match the numbers of the Mustangs! Even the Miata guys are slacking this time.

Whoo hooo, finally, my first points event of the year. Now if I can just get this tire deal to go through. :chuckle:

I have a lot more friends that I can still invite. We should just call the event Mustangs and Miatas ;)

That brings back memories. Back in the day, I remember we did "MINIs & Miatas". Don't know if we ever did "Mustangs & Miatas".

Bring 'em on!

I expect at least 75% will miss the elusive line going into the slalom and create their own pin turn. Call it a premonition. ;)

Do you mean the yellow line isn't the "correct race line ?" ;)

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. :) In this case, it's pretty close. I'm just saying that most people won't drive it that way. They'll take a more obvious line past that first apex, which will promptly beat them up and take their lunch money on the second one. :snicker:

Okay, Paul, here ya go:

Announcing:
The "Bring Your Friends" Challenge

Help us fill up this event and get a chance to win a free event entry! There are over 30 openings left for this event, and we thought it would be fun to get a little rivalry going between the different car groups.

Here's the deal: Entries are split into groups by car manufacturer. Members of the group with the largest attendance at the April 12 event will take part in a drawing during trophy presentation at the end of the event where we will give away three FREE EVENT ENTRIES!
  • Groups are: Ford, Other US Makes, Mazda, Other Asian Makes, European Makes
  • FAST Staff (Loren, Steve, Drew, Matt, Dave & Ron) are excluded from the count.
  • No-shows are excluded from the count.
  • Since a lot of Early session drivers leave at noon, you need not be present to win, we'll notify you by email.
As of right now, Ford, Mazda and Asian Makes are each at about 15 entries. Euro and American Makes are less than 10 each. With 30 entries left to claim, this is anybody's game! So, hit up your favorite car forum, call your friends... and if YOU aren't registered yet, get on it!

You're losing. :chuckle:

Current standings:
Mazda - 21
Ford - 17
Asian - 15
Euro - 12
US - 7

FYI, I'm considering Factory Five a "Ford" because it uses a Mustang donor vehicle.
And Howard's LeGrand is in "Other US Makes" because it was custom built in the US.

Judging Committee Decision:
If you enter twice (once in each session), you get counted twice. Howard is double-entered, so add one to the US!
