I just had an amusing thought:

"British Engineering"

I'll have the new FAST t-shirts with me for sale tomorrow. Will try to have them available at the sign-in table by the gate throughout the day.

$20 each and includes two FAST stickers.

Current inventory:
2 - Small
1 - Medium
12 - Large
11 - XL
3 - 2XL
1 - 3XL

When they're gone, they're gone. Get 'em while they're hot!

British engineering is often brilliant...it's the manufacturing that often leaves something to be desired.

German cars (and often Italian cars as well): maintenance by factory-trained specialists at precisely defined intervals
'Merican cars: maintenance by backyard mechanics when they get around to it
Japanese cars: they need maintenance?
British cars: in a constant state of rebuild by mechanics originally trained as blacksmiths

So. Bad day today. My car is out of commission. Tail shaft on the tranny had things break and my car will be out of commission until the tranny can be dropped out of the car. I'll be there tomorrow. Hopefully one of the mustang bunch will allow a co-driver. See y'all tomorrow.

I'd say your odds are pretty good. :thumbwink:

I thought all you guys were driving highly-reliable newer Mustangs? Is this a common failure, or something weird?

Neither ford nor my shop has ever seen this. Ford won't even touch it due to my mods

did someone say TRASH TALK
I'm planning to dominate S5 tomorrow!
I'm very tempted to do an instructor run in my daughter's automatic transmission Fiesta. 8-)
When I fail to your greatness I was going to blame it on my automatic transmission, but maybe I'll have to use the excuse of a 2-year absence. :bangwall:
My VW automatic will dominate your Ford err Jag whatever it is automatic!!

Or maybe I will switch it up and bring out the Jetta Wagen TDI and really make 2nd place sting for S5
2013 Toyota Highlander Limited (hers) 2016 Tacoma Offroad (his)... I need an autoX car

Maybe it's inherent problems associated w/racing AWD cars on a hard surface. Even when they seemed to work out most of the bugs, K-PAX Racing has pretty much given up on the Volvo and moved to McLarens. I liked the Volvos, (Gorgeous Car), but good luck to them and the McLarens.

Hey, I attempt to pilot a Sububaru AWD car...with 157,000 miles. Is this a ticking timebomb??? Getting concerned...

:pale:

Maybe I shouldn't use that 4000 rpm launch control deal...nah!

Looks to be a beautiful day...

If that thing hasn't blown up already it might hold up for another 157k miles! The 06 STI i had must have been built on a friday, or the motor was as it only lasted me 596xx miles. Of course Subaru wouldn't warranty the motor even thou it was in warranty :(

Here's a couple video's from ohio. In this configuration it had KW v3 coil overs, whiteline antiroll bars, and some super light rims running on shaved bridgestons. The car was some what setup for SCCA's STU class, even thou i didn't have the full motor mods allowed in that class. For power it just had a subaru intake and exhaust (un-modded downpipe). Fun car on the track..and the snow :)
