Another fun day at a FAST event, good course and good people, what more could you want ? I'm starting to enjoy all the work I've put into my car the last few months, from looking at my times I'm pretty consistent, still want to squeeze another half second or so out of it. I really liked the return part of this course, the 3 wall slalom was a great feature, I'm up for using them more often.

I was in the afternoon session and it was really nice for a while, then the damn rain came in on the second run group. I remember some posting something about a beautiful day....

.....well for the most part it was. :-D Not sure what sucks worse, working or driving in the rain, at least it wasn't to heavy and cold. :) Thanks to everyone that stuck around and helped clean up. :thumbwink:

Here was my fastest run, I probably dropped into 4th place or so in m3 if I see the results, just didn't feel like I had any solid run in. I think I could carry more speed in a few areas, and the turn around was tricky for me, getting out of it I felt the tire rollover.

How bad did it rain?

Damn your car sounds good ! I think you could've carried more consistent speed through most of the outgoing part, be a little wider on the turn around, and smoother through the 3 wall slalom. Hard to really tell by just watching the video, but you definitely were fast ! 8-)

If you were the one that ran the 43.0, I believe you got second.

It wasn't bad, but it rained enough to soak the course and the course workers in the second session. It's Florida, if you see black fluffy things in the sky, good idea to grab a umbrella or bring your rain gear with you. ;)

Nah, I ran a 43.9 lol. I think Rob in the Green Civic ran a 43.0 in his 4th run.

Florida rains gotta love it, just 30 miles south and no rain where I am :rolling:

Nice Tony for 2nd place good job. Why is it all the AWD cars ran in the dry? Because they brought an AWD car:) Talisman.

Well so you know what happened Ken in GT3 won S1 in two dry runs and also got FTD on St Tires. Surprise. NOT.

Dave Scott is back in only two dry runs got 3rd.

FYI. My 2nd last dry run of 42.546 (Jamie had a 42.1 = ouch and we ran together) was compared to my 4th very wet run of 47.692 and my last 1/2 wet run was 46.664.

So as I've always figured wet is 4-5 seconds slower than bone dry out there.

To Loren's credit I had no issues with control even in the wet with no traction control. A safe fast course.

I had a great day no matter what and a lot of folks hung around in the rain to get their stickers!!

Congrats to Mario who won M1 in the dry session. For others you'll have to wait 10 minutes for the results:)

It was a beautiful day and 10 miles west of the Airport Zero rain.

Nice run. You are sorting out that car. You need 8 more runs at next classic!! No driving rain just enough to wet the far end of the track mostly except for one run AND it rained pretty hard at the awards ceremony of course. It was a lot worse for the workers than we drivers!!! Always is nice and dry in the car.

Yup ! That's Florida ! I wanted to get BBQ but I don't like my car in the rain on public roads, just wanted to get home, now I wish I would've went.

I forgot to thank Ben for walking the course with me, and giving me the most righteous way to get around the course ! There was at least another half second out there if I could've put it all together in the same run.

Thanks Dave. It was fun, and I had three runs that felt pretty good. Too bad the best one featured a cone in the finish slalom! Glad you and Doug had a good time too.

Doug, appreciate the additional info. Glad I missed the rain!

What a day! I didn't expect the rain and I wasn't exactly happy about it. I really just wanted a normal set of runs to start figuring out my shocks more, so far I have only had 1 event on them. After my 3rd run I realized trying to get a good time was pointless my car only had grip on the 2nd run. Also I seem to have developed an appetite for cones. Still, it was fun fishtailing the car around again.
Still wish I got off the cone diet for at least 1 run :(

Darn rain!
1st run dry, I did not push it, I never do. 2nd run was decent, felt good, but got red flagged on the way back.
Rerun of 2nd run , rain.
3rd run, rain.
4th run, rain.
5th run, first half of the course dry-ish second half wet.
Somehow, I still had fun and enjoyed being out there. Great time overall!

Thanks for letting me borrow the tire pressure gauge, some how I must have goofed adding air in my tires and put to much in the rear.

The course was awesome today. I loved it. I wish I had more time to dive it for tuning purposes. between new/different tires and wider wheels, the car had a completely different feel to it today. I was really digging it, but sadly, I need more time to sort out the changes and dial them in. My runs wernt fast, but closer t the lead cars than they have been and I KNOW I blew a couple sections that cost me a fair amount of time. the new wheels/tires I think are gonna be a game changer for me. :D

thanx for a great event today.
