Okay, Results are up.

Great event today! Were it not for 30 minutes of rain at the end of the day, it would have been nearly perfect. Thanks to everyone for coming out and playing cars with us, and especially to those who stuck around to help pack the trailer in the rain!

Oh, and I'm a couple events behind in updating the season points. Will try to get to that tonight.

So as I've always figured wet is 4-5 seconds slower than bone dry out there.
Oh, for a third dry run.... In the wet, I ran 45s...there was a little bit of a "damp" line to follow, but not much margin beyond it.
It was a beautiful day and 10 miles west of the Airport Zero rain.
Through the end of the run group, the other end of the runway was dry! It didn't really start raining down there until we finished!

That is crazy nuts that Dave and I had exactly the same time 42.546!! One run apart too. And he had the next fastest time so got 3rd. You've got to love this sport.

Great course, mother nature sucks, I would have really liked to have had 5 dry attempts at this course.

FTD run 39.993 a little bit "moist" at the far end.

A fairly solid run in the wet 42.0XX

Had a great time out there today and I wish I could have stuck around to see the afternoon session. I guess I'll have to thank Mother Nature for sending a little liquid sunshine that allowed me to hold onto first in M2. Barely. It looks like Jason was knocking on the door pretty hard.

Thanks everyone for all you do to make these events awesome. See you in a couple weeks.

Angel and I would like to apologize for bailing out halfway though packing up. we had a nearly 3 hour drive home to look forward too soaking wet. it was not an enjoyable trip. lol

My top 20 finishes come once every full solar ellipse. I know to put a asterisk next to it though.

Another well-run FAST event! Thanks for the piccies, Mr Petrie! I even got a photo of me taking a photo of my car. Good stuff.
Thanks to Ron Rice for taking my superior coaching and using it against me on the second to last run and then twisting the knife on the last. You're an apt pupil, sir-- and a worthy adversary.

Ron was on it today for sure ! I was wondering why Ron was just tearing it up today, now I know why, Mr. Evans had to tell Ron just how to do it ! :-D

Another great day of autocross! It looks like we were lucky and missed the rain by signing up for the morning session. The morning weather was perfect and I got my exercise for the day running for cones and helping to push a Mini back on track after a minor 'off' into the ploughed field, good teamwork from the fellow course workers got it taken care of quickly. Hope the car survived the incident intact.

I felt like the event went pretty well for me, all clean runs with steady improvement but the end result just seemed slower than it should be. I ran the whole event solo, I think next time I will ask for an instructor to ride along for a run or two for some pointers on what I need to work on.
An instructor run driving the car would be great just to get a better gauge of what the car can do and where I am. (AKA how bad do I really suck at this)

Tammy overcame extreme pre-event nerves and ended up having a great time. She asked me to pass along thanks to Ben for the in car instruction and Loren & Joe for the passenger rides and words of wisdom before she took the wheel. She learned a lot and although her fastest time included one cone penalty the raw time was only two seconds off my time so I need to get going :d (just realized there are no driving smilies on the website).

See you in April for the Sunday event - Yay! I don't have to find excuses to get out of working yet another Saturday!

I had a great time. Just saw results and am excited to be 9th in my class! I'll ignore there were only 9 entries. :-(

Here's an in-car video I got of one of my runs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNCdB39uFck

Looks pretty slow compared to the other posts. I saw lots of bad driving techniques in my video and a bunch of other things to improve on, so I'll be back for another try.

Also, thank you to the 280z driver for the awesome ride, Steve and the other instructor who gave me great tips, and Loren for putting up with me not slowing down enough after the finish line (I'll do better next time!).

I have to think S1 has almost as competitive a field as M1 (ignoring Ken Marion in a UFO of course).

The last two FAST events I've ended up in a Dead even tie first with Jeremy then with Dave. Having to go to other runs to determine the final sticker winner :thumbwink:

Like Mario says it makes for a lot more fun for everyone with close racing never knowing who will win.

Note to newbies: "I cannot get any faster - short of throwing money at wheels and tires which isn't going to happen any time soon. You have no idea how fast you can become with practice."
