Have a great weekend,

After we got home from my treat of throwing shells on the floor at Cody's as sun was going down. I set out the cones as usual in the deep grass and shoved the push mower in the same line available at TBD. I'll try to post that video some day? Point is one had NO latitude on leaving the "clean worn line". If you stayed too tight you took out cones. Too wide and you were one or two wheels in the marbles. SO a skinny car would be easier to play with but not necessarily faster. The last TBD event I took Shamu to on the far end I got my RR slightly in the marbles, snap spun and put two rear tires in the grass. Hard to get that out of one's head once you do it. Once you get in grass all you can think of is that ditch that used to be far away. Our rules state that you cannot be on grass and compete :nope:

Tony you've always driven great and smooth but need to stay more consistently focused. Go faster sooner. Great 3rd finish once again against two of the best drivers, Ken and George, presently around in top SS cars. Even if you put on 140-200 oversized tires/rims and got a severe alignment (which you couldn't use on the street) you would be hard pressed to make up that 2+ seconds (5%) lag. If you (and I) had the nads to flat foot it coming out of the far loop all the way to the second loop we'd have been faster if the tires stuck? I lifted slightly in the same places you did with a brake touch as the tires felt a little squirrelly thru there. Mind you I was running oversized rims and fat 200 tires!!! You beat me by nearly 2 seconds if that makes you feel any better? I never "let" anyone win - they have to earn it.

WOW

I haven't been around for awhile so I didn't know the timer remains set at our worst/best time as we crawl back into grid.

Thank you Ron and Loren for fixing that. I really am happy now.

Yeah, we finally sent the timer off for a firmware update. It fixed that and a couple other little issues. Like the one that caused a time to be ignored if a car started at the same time that another car finished. No longer a problem!

Finally got the Championship Points updated:
http://drivefast.org/results/championship-points/

Greyed out the ineligible folks (less than 4 events now means they can't meet the 5 event minimum), figured the current drops (lowest 2 as of now are drops).

Pretty interesting stuff still going on, right down to the final event!

Let me know if you see any errors.

I'm gonna drop myself out of S2 for the last event to try to ensure that Ben & Jamie don't tie again! My season is done. Locked in 2nd. Can't move up or down.

Carl,

Are you going to show up for a face off on July 18th for the 3rd T Shirt? Hmmmmm? Are ya? Are ya? The GT3 blew lunch so it's only the 4 of us now:) Actually I doubt the "fixed T Shirt" two will even show up so we can duke it out toe to toe for 3rd.

Damn Kurtis and his new tires! (and his driving talent, I guess...)

Last event of the year and M1, M2, and M3 are all up in the air!

But if we're tied now, we can't possibly be tied after the last event...won't score equal points. Besides, we all know that if Ben secures 3d, it's luck; if I do, it's superior driving. ;)

To hot and to many things would have to happen for me to steal first place. I'd rather sleep in on my day off and settle for 2nd. There's always next season!

Ah, but you both DID score equal points at the last event.

If I were to compete in class and manage to finish ahead of both of you AND bump both of you down into "1 point" range, you'd still be tied. Me not being there (assuming I'd finish ahead of you both, which is NOT always the case) guarantees that you'll be one step closer to the top and makes it more likely that at least one of you will finish with more than one point.
