So, I've not yet been able to make time to un-Goldberg my Miata yet (honestly, probably won't for a while - too much domestic reorganization going on), and my VW still has old all-seasons on it. So, I'm begging a morning session co-drive. Anybody up for sharing a car? I'll buy gas, offer tips/instruction, friendly competition, what-have-you?

My Dad is taking this one off, so if you're interested in some 1970's era handling, there is an empty seat in the 'stang. It has a fairly fresh set of Rivals on it.

Hey Dan B, you can codrive my MS3 if you'd like. I know we were talking a lot about setting up your mazda3, you're welcome to see what mine feels like.

Trevor, thanks so much for your offer! It would be great fun to drive your Mazdaspeed, especially since you have dialled it in nicely, it would sure be an eye opener for me.

Unfortunately I can only make the morning session. I signed up as a guest for the afternoon but will need to cut out shortly after lunch. I originally planned to hang out to see the conclusion of championship but I need to be back for a concert at Ruth Eckerd that evening.

Hopefully I can take up your offer another day.

As a total side note, I'm off to see Brit Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band. They really look good. I've seen a few tribute bands in the past and when jamming away they sound great but it falls apart once they start singing as there's no substitute for the original vocals. The lead singer of this band does a pretty passable Roger Waters.

For those that like a little Pink Floyd, this You tube video is what twisted my arm to buy tickets

Remember, you can edit your entry and do away with that afternoon guest registration that you're not using. That way when we bill at the close of registration, you won't be billed for it! (also opens up a guest slot for someone else, but that's not usually a problem)

The bottom line on the Second Saturday the 18th is that the afternoon session will settle the trophies.

The morning will merely put down a "baseline" in most cases.

S1, I will deal with the Maid Marion in the GT3 AND his tire warmer son. It takes 4 to tango.

Got to put your "bad" on for the t-shirt this year for the final points.

If I could get up early enough I'd go watch that Vettologist with the big rubber take on M1 again.

It's gonna be a great day for racing.

Dan.
If the ticket prices for Brit Floyd are any indication they must be fabulous. :D Actually they do some pretty awesome in that video. I've seen The Machine a few times vhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIf1p1np4Q0 they are pretty good, but I don't think I've ever paid more than $25 for a ticket.

Ah come on, you can make it out. Vettologist, I think Tim still holds that rank, but I'm trying to catch up to his throttle flicking skills.

Tim only has AWD so he can back out of the sand runout without a push :snicker:

Since Tim "twitted" and begged me to watch his first "Rally Cross" I'll be there. (Never bring a Rally Car to an Autocross unless heavy rain or sand storms are predicted). Sadly there is also a "drag car" aka Mustang with untried AS mold release tires.

Go Mario and Eric. Big "shaved" skills and Big "rested" rubber will be a scream to watch in the "shade". Rooting for Big and Big.

If everyone drives for crap I can always drive in M1 :snore:

Doug, just a reminder, anyone who is double-registered or otherwise going to be on-site all day gets a FAST lunch. You can bring food if you want, but Steve's got you covered from Masaryktown Cafe. :thumbwink:
