Hey, Doug... I was just looking over the points (drafting the awards list as much as I can). You know... Carl isn't going to be at this event. And you only need 2 points to tie him. And you've got the tie-breaker advantage already. So, if you finish at least 5th in S1 at this event, you're 3rd place for the season.

So, you go ahead and run M1 if you don't think you can hang in S1 and finish 5th out of 11. We understand. :whip:

And Sean Schenck... dude could totally jump from 4th to FIRST in M2. If he wins this event, he ties for first. And with all of his first place finishes, HE wins the tie-breaker. But, he's one of 4 people who are close enough to win M2.

This is going to be a damned interesting event!

Yeah, I was just messin' with M1 guys again. Definitely going for the bronze in S1 no matter who shows up :thumbwink:

:pointlaugh: if I wasn't there to see it first hand I wouldn't have believed it, that had to been one of the biggest Lowe's automotive engineering jobs I've ever saw. Damn thing worked and got him home from Brooksville though. :thumbwink:

Also if Phillip wins and I can't pull off at least 4th he will take home a 3rd place finish in S4.

Or do I have the tiebreaker because I have more class wins? In which case I think I just need 5th (2 points).

It's loosened up quite a bit, but the teflon tape is keeping it from leaking. I doubt it'd stand up to the rigors of autocross - the hose is pretty well-stretched, too. It's basically a timing belt/water pump job to change the inner thermostat housing the pipe fell off of, and I just haven't got the time to do it right now. Probably won't for a while, too, so, y'all can expect me to keep bumming rides (got one lined up for the enduro already... :) ...and maybe a raincheck from The Mayor for after that...)

Looks like every other summer day in Florida. Scattered thunderstorms. Might rain a little. Might just be cloudy. Might rain a lot. We'll take it as it comes just like every other summer autocross.

Damn, I thought we might get through one upcoming event thread without a mention of rain. :-D

The Lorendicater says that if I don't show there is a 100% guarantee I will lose. If I show up there is a 1:11 chance of success.

I will show up. I've never done this before but since my big toe was aching this morning and it was drizzling at my house 10 miles West of the Airport I paid attention. By 9:30am the light drizzle stopped. Before 10:00am the sun was out and it was drying up. So after I took wife to her appt we went to the airport and believe it or not there was never rain East of Veteran's Hwy at all and the sun was out. The Airport stayed dry all day and my big toe stopped aching. I had to mow the grass since it was so dry. Grrrr.

Sadly there is little else on the news in FL other than the weather all over the country.

Guess I'm one of the few who's seen it rain in my back yard and not my front at all many times.

Are you kidding, Doug? We've had events at Brooksville where it was absolutely pouring at one end of the course, and completely dry on the other end. When they say "scattered thunderstorms", they mean "scattered"!

See y'all tomorrow!
