What Jamie said. The sound of a loud car taking an autocross run every 30 seconds for 8 hours straight is very different from the sound of an aircraft taking off or landing every 30 minutes. We don't have the luxury of other autocross sites being readily available to us, so we're being proactive and quieting ourselves to prevent any complaints.

This is getting way off the topic of Endurocross, but I've looked at the satellite maps. There are homes within about 1.1 miles of the airport, and a Golf Club 1.5 miles to the East. At TBD, there are homes within .5 miles to the East (and a few closer than that to the South), and a crapload of homes within a mile to the East. At TGT, of course, there are waterfront homes within 650 feet, and a huge population of folks within a mile in all directions. Sure, TGT is the biggest concern, but we don't want to piss off the neighbors at ANY of our autocross sites. We've got about 5 people with cars that are literally 2-4 times as loud as anyone elses. That's what we're looking to eliminate.

I hope that helps you see things from OUR perspective.

We never said that our sound limit was for any particular site. Quite the opposite, we said that it was the same for every site.

As of this moment, there are 3 slots open for this event. If you've been on the fence, now would be a good time to get off of it!

And don't forget to order a shirt if you want one. That order goes in Friday night.

That said... I've been meaning to try to get a drive in that Exocet. Might give up a run in Soroya's car for that!

Let's take this up a notch.
I hereby offer to co-drive with you. To go from the Fastiva to a v8 aught to be fun to watch, and I would be honored to see what a pro could do with 80 mph in 2nd gear. How about 450+hp Loren??? You in???

Exocet will be fitted for a muzzle- but leaving room for truck nuts.

Would it be wrong for the event chairman to double register and whore rides in four different cars?

Since this is a classic event but with split format, does that make a single 2 runs x4 laps and a double registration something insane like 4 x 4?
All I want to know is, will you be bringing your homemade pizza?

Actually, cold pizza is the best pizza... for breakfast.

It would certainly be interesting (entertaining) to see if all those laps improved your times or dizzied you out :thumbwink: Be sort of like time trials at NASCAR

You know what... I'm gonna do it. It's not often that I indulge myself this much. There's one more slot open in the afternoon. I'm gonna take it.

That gives me 4 Endurocross runs.

My dance card so far:
Soraya's Fit
Jason's Mustang
Doug's Exocet

That leaves one more. Anybody want to entice or challenge me with something interesting. (bearing in mind that "interesting" doesn't have to mean "fast")

I'm gonna have to take a nap during lunch.

If there is anyone that plans to stay over in the Brooksville area Saturday eve (2/27) for the Enduro on the 28th, I can recommend "Jeff's" airbnb at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/10875609. I stayed there last weekend for the CFR Sunday event after the FAST Saturday race. 2 bedrooms, maybe a place on a sofa, and even an offer of an extra air bed in an upscale apartment in a gated (underdeveloped) golf community. Under $100...10 minutes to the track...

Worked for me and a definite step up from the Brooksville Days Inn I originally was planning to use.

Done! Anybody will tell you, I'm not a "big car" guy. But, your car does intrigue me. Should be fun to see what I can do with it.

Put the shipping blocks back in first...let's see how he does with the go-kart suspension!

I could trailer in my horse... yesterday he was just like a S2000... Compact, fast, fun and a bit squirrelly. You have insurance, right? :contract:
