Nice!

I can't picture Jason driving a car with 140 hp. I'm betting that's not going to be an S4 car. I hear M2 is nice this time of year.

You are so right.... Online now and have a driver and passenger side roll bar in my shopping cart. They will be a perfect foundation for me to attach to a jet propelled rocket booster turbo hurricane dispenser.
I will name the car Miat-AHHHHHHH!

Should see moderate gains of at least 500-600hp... Right?

Congrats on the new ride.
It will be a different experience being in a momentum car rather than the power cars!

Have fun :thumbwink:

Honestly, if you can put off power mods for a while, you can learn A LOT about driving mo-betta in a momentum car. You might even like it.

Remember, a Miata really doesn't need a bunch of mods to be a good autocrosser. Good shocks, good tires, good alignment, maybe a bigger front swaybar. The rest is driver. (and if you watch Jamie... his car is COMPLETELY stock... I think he put a set of Koni shocks on it a while back, that's it)

The Hernando County Game Warden said specifically that Jamie's S4 is "open season" :bangwall:

As Loren said, it's stock, with the Sport (Hard S) suspension changed only by running lighter wheels, and replacing the stock Bilsteins with Konis. And now pushing 229,000 miles. I'm not sure the Konis make much of a difference over the Bilsteins, but those wore out, and I'm used to working with Konis.

Ah...the class where you have to have FTD to win!

Nice looking car -- what year?

Honestly.
I had a dark green 99 SE only some few years ago.
Awesome car even at 157k miles. Drove like on rails. Actually boring as couldn't mess up driving.
Dark green, low profile.... in FL not best color for surroundings....seemed like every redneck in three counties would pull out in front of me w/giant pickup. Sold it after 6-8 months to an Israeli who took it back to Israel. How cool is that. He thought it was a huge displacement car :rolling: They measure in cc's.

Enjoy.

Nope -- still on the 115-run Rivals. Was planning to swap out after the Enduro, but everyone else had the same idea I did and ordered new tires before the Dixie National Tour. I won't get the new rubber until the 16th...two days before I have to drive up to Valdosta. There go any plans for learning how the new tires work beforehand! Might try swapping cars with one of my CFR competitors for a run or two next weekend, since most of them are on 'Stones.

I don't understand why people leave S3 so quickly. I take a shower before I go racing.

Tires are cheaper in S4 and S5.

Because they cannot win. S3 is hard work. Millenials don't like hard work. If they go to S4 they definitely cannot win!! At least not in FAST trim. Jamie "the terrible" is killing everyone in any class all the way up to M3 with a bone stock Miata...moan. He hasn't even gotten the evil pop up cold RE71's yet.
