I can be early this week. Should be home by 4:00.

I'll probably drive the truck. We're back to working on the "trust" in our relationship. :roll:

7 sounds like a good number, but I haven't ruled out a bit earlier either.

Ended up with total of 7, I think. Damn, it was hot! But, the food was good, and we solved a wide variety of the world's problems.

Now, if my house A/C worked as well as my Corvette A/C I'd be golden. :-)

So Loren's mention of TVR last night at dinner reminded me of a super sweet yellow TVR that used to autocross with my local club back in Greenboro NC in the late 90s. This video is actually from my second event ever, I have video from the first, but this is the only one I have uploaded to YouTube. I was a very different person 19 years ago I guess and I considered myself an "import guy" back then and didn't car for 'murican cars as you might hear in some of my commentary. I was driving my white Nissan Sentra SE-R as well as my friend Roger I let co-drive at his first event. We were not fast. I was 10 seconds slower than the yellow TVR, but that TVR was in inspiration to me of sorts, that and the super fast black C4 ZR-1 driven by Roger Garrett (not in the video).

Other highlights from the video:
* GH Sharp many time national champion in the red FD RX-7
* Some Shelby Cobra replica, I don't know if it was factory five or not, not sure if they were in business yet in 1997. The guy said it had a Chevy 427, seems an odd choice to me now.
* A SOLO Vee!! LOL

Cool car, the TVR, and I've always admired them, but I have to give the nod the TR6. Always loved those lines, shape, etc. Problem with the Triumphs though, car are small for me, but they were beyond small for me. Tried to get into a spitfire once, well, didn't go well...

There was a guy who found an old TVR bone stock in the late 90's with a V6. He towed it with an old Hearse. Yeah, he had a good sense of humor. He totally "killed" C Stock with that car at Topeka, KS got a jacket and was promptly booted out of the class the following year:) I saw one that was Prepared in Pittsburgh that looked a lot like the one in the video but it might have been another color. Been along time. I think they might still be building those in small quantities in UK? They always were a tube frame assembled kit car sort of thing with a fiberglass body much like the early UK based aluminum AC Bristol (Cobra) were. http://fantasyjunction.com/cars/1266-AC ... 6-Cylinder That Cobra you filmed looks like one of many clones but not Factory 5. There was even one made complete by Excalibur which actually had AC AND a top. Cool. I looked at one before getting my Vette. Pretty good video considering the age of it. Les in a fwd Sentra with quiet exhaust?????

This was the best TVR every made, it I have a few million, I buy one and import it.

That video was made using a real full size VHS camera, then kind that you put on your shoulder as it weighed 15 lbs. LOL

Oh, and I actually had a Flowmaster muffler on that Sentra. That is literally the last FWD car I ever autocrossed other than a few fun runs. That car was gone by 1999.

Awesome video, funny to think at that time my car was a little over a year old.
