October 8th Is Columbus Day Eve and it was alot of fun for some. In the can.

Too much to share. My wife was able to put on lip stick in Moby Dick and never smear while racing. I never hit a cone it in. We didn't finish DFL which is a First.

Dunnellon isn't for everyone. Most people lead shallow lives. Fear rain, typhoons, travel and flooding. We met a bunch of new people today and had a great time.

I brought a shovel and never used it. Carried it around in case I needed to bury competitors. I brought my wife and she never left the comfort of an AC yesterday luxor car.

Win, win.

This place kind of grows on you. There was a decent course that skilled drivers decided to kill the last slalom??? There were no loose stones. Dunnellon is cleaning up it's act.

A little rain on the second group but mostly they did very well and got 3 or 4 dry runs. Competition was brutal. Drew who? FTD who. Loren finished 2nd. Whoa. Who is this cross class Joe Vance guy?

It was a great time. As always. Super special thanks to Matt Sullivan for removing my white (Moby Dick) cane and telling me how to drive a real race car. That was best of all.

I can't put my finger on what I like about this site vs. Brooksville. Just that it's a little different, I guess. Just being able to start with a flying 90-degree turn onto the runway is a nice change from Brooksville. The less grippy asphalt... combined with "some" grippy concrete. Idunno. It just works. 8-)

Thanks for coming out and having some fun with us, folks!

The daytime running lights on Loren's Misterbitchi look like candelabras. Stare into them.

The best part was watching Ron purposely driving the course backward and sideways. What a kook!

Admission. I installed a new air filter, topped off the brake fluid and bought new gas. On the way home I bought Moby a car wash. Looks good.

Life's treasures. Next time I'll bring some real game in one of two "Farm Truck" banished race cars and of course my wife with the lip stick challenge.

My runs, Really liked this course. Simple but it felt "fulfilling" after a run.

That Ron is a very funny fellow. I enjoyed whooping him in R1. Thanks for the competition, Ron :thumbwink: Maybe one day I'll be able to beat you without a significant tire advantage. Nah, probably not.

Thanks also to Joe Vance for riding along and helping me identify some handling issues on my car.

I liked the course, too, almost. The sweeper after the second chute looked tighter than it did on the course map and I don't think I ever got it right. I struggled with the tight slalom at the end, too.

You all know Dan has a hard on hidden in his trunk, right? It's white so it's an albino something? Maybe he'll let Ron beat him in it?

I like to think of it as fashionably late autocrossing.
