FAST Open Autocross - Feb 10 @ Brooksville

Postby Loren » Wed Jan 24, 2018 12:03 pm

Well, since not a lot of people trekked out to Dunnellon for Jan 27, I expect there will be a lot of people jonesin' for the Brooksville event on Feb 10. Register early, register often!

Registration & Event Info

Basic event details:
  • This is a FAST Open autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
  • Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers AND Guests. We can't let you in the gate if you're not registered.
  • Driver entry fee is $39.99, guest entry fee is $7.99.
  • This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8am-12pm or the Late Session 12pm-5pm, or both.
  • Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

Y'all probably want to see a course map. I don't remember if I designed one yet. I think I did. Maybe.

I'll have to check.

Should start doing wildcard course events where you don't post the course map :snicker:

Or you could post one and then just change the course on the fly, again.

We always change the course on the fly a little bit, but when the cones are 4-feet wide to scale, you just don't notice much. :geek:

As it turns out, we don't have the course design ready yet. But, it's in the works. Waiting on the official safety review.

You want a practice skidpad? At an Open event?

Nope.

But, we can think about it for the next Brooksville Classic.

Map? Doug and Les say we really don't "need" one but we'll write our times and air pressures on the back to keep track of our progress

Okay, since Doug needs something to write his tire pressures on, and since the course has been approved...

Here's the course map!
