If anyone's got this on their radar already:
We moved the Awards Party from Aug 25 to Aug 26. Couldn't get the shelter for Satuday, so we moved it to Sunday.

3-4 weeks prior to the event is the norm.
Very soon. Possibly tonight.

Alright, it's open but I've got an inquiry. I myself have done 4 events, but the requirement for classic events is now 5 instead of 3. I was planning on sponsoring my friend so he could come and autox for his first time but now both him and I need a sponsor. Why did the requirement change?Loren wrote:3-4 weeks prior to the event is the norm.

We made that change about a year ago. Every Classic has been that way for quite some time. Even the last Tampa Greyhound event, which you attended, the limit was 5. Registration for July 14 was a direct copy of that event.
It changed because 3 wasn't enough. We really need experienced people to safely operate an event where course workers will often work a station solo, and we have no formal instruction available.

Ah, so it was. I guess I'll just have to see if there's anyone willing to sponsor the both of us. This event was preferable because he's driving up from Bonita Springs and it's a bit closer than Brooksville, but worst case we can always go to the one after that.
