Cool man. Just let me know. I'll be there early with Bill.

Actually, we were planning on trying out some remote-control mobile cones...the timing crew needs entertainment.

As of 3:52PM, there are 89 pre-registered. I expect we'll be full by this evening. I will maintain a waiting list for anyone who wants to show and hope there are some holes...send a note to wedrivefaster@yahoo.com by 5pm tomorrow and I'll add you to the access roster as a guest. No later...I'm turning in the roster tomorrow night.

I can be there at 7 to help set up since I have to go right after.

Are the gates open at that time or how will I get in?

Want to check and make sure that this is approved before I get there at 7am for no reason :)

Barring any unforseen circumstances, I will be there by 7. As soon as Bill gets there with the trailer, we can unload a couple of chairs and a table for registration and proceed to the runway to set up the trailer. Unload cones from trailer, begin course setup.
So, unless Bill runs unusually late, help will be needed early. The sooner we get started on setup, the sooner we will be able to start running. I would like to get started as early as possible so we can try to get 5-6 runs in even with a large field. we may get delayed by some late arrivals getting registered, but I want to avoid a delay from us diddling with cones for too long.

I'll have to be sure to set multiple alarms for a very early hour so I can get there for 7. With as many people as we may have, I (or Willemina who will be towing the trailer while I drive a Miata) will be the limiting factor!

I suppose I should pipe up and mention that I, too, will plan to be there by 7, with registration box and all paperwork in hand! :D

Bill, I'm not planning to be there uber-early, but if Wilma wants to sleep in, I'd be happy to drive your car to Brooksville so you can tow the trailer. I'll be competing in Jeff's Sentra, so I don't need to bring my car.

Lemme know. You can drop the car off at my place Friday night if you want.

It appears that it may be the '97 I'm driving that day; the FrankenMiata may be sold this weekend.

Loren, I'll run your offer past Willemina when she returns. She left me to run away with Nick's wife to Las Vegas!

Is there electricity out there? I was going to recondition Kenny's lights and require it for the high speed buffer I will be using. If so, can you let me know so I can bring my tools. In addition, is there anything My brother and I can bring out? Ross 2005 STi

I registered to run the FrankenMiata in class E but just sold it. Instead I'll be running my '97 in class G.

Already caught that and changed it. FWIW, none of these changes will be visible on the MAE website...that's no longer editable, but the spreadsheet I send to Steve has them.

I wonder how much of a turn out we'll have if the weather doesn't cooperate. The extended forcast calls for the high Saturday to be in the upper 50's in Tampa, so you can knock off another 5 to 10 degrees up in Brooksville. I'll be there no matter what the temp is, but I think my Dad might sit this one out as a spectator. :(

Cold air is denser and makes more power! :D

I'm with Bill on this one. Of course, cold is evil for cars... more power from the engine, less grip from the tires! But, 50 degrees isn't so bad. (not like the 28 degrees that it was when I drove my first lap on a track in SC yesterday... and flat-spotted a rear tire  )

Just be sure to wear jeans rather than shorts, and bring a nice warm jacket.
