Saturday will be primarily working on the Miata paint project. Prepping a replacement door. More wet-sanding on the body. Maybe color spraying the inner edges of the new door and some small parts.
Sunday can be more of that if Chris is up for a second day. But, primarily, Steve and I need to spend a day doing some work on one of our driving school cars. New shocks & struts, and a swaybar upgrade (yes, I'm putting a bigger front swaybar on my driver's ed car... I *do* have to drive the thing every day! It's just a larger stock option). It's probably due for an oil change and a whole bunch of inspection. It's got a clunk that could be either a control arm bushing or an engine mount... gotta figure that out.
Since we'll be at it all weekend, I'm open to larger projects if you've got anything you need to do. Maaaaybe a clutch job, timing belt job, that sort of thing. Just make sure you have all of your parts together and either know what you're doing, or bring someone with you who does. I can help some, but I'll be busy doing other stuff.
Cathy will surely bake us something tasty, and likely Gluten Free (because Steve). (side note: The Oatmeal Raisin cookies she baked last weekend were gluten free, and they were awesome!) And lunch will always happen.
WHEN: Saturday, June 22 AND Sunday, June 23 - 9:30am - 4:30pm
WHAT: Miata body work, Kia Rio maintenance work... or perhaps whatever YOU need to do as long as it's nothing major. I have plenty of driveway space, tools and knowledge. Fluid changes, brakes, other minor maintenance are all doable.
WHERE: My garage in Safety Harbor, PM me if you need the address.
WHO: Me and Chris at a minimum, and Steve on Sunday. Anyone else is welcome to come watch & learn, help, hang out, heckle, whatever.
Please reply if you plan to attend. And if you have any work to do, that would also be good to know.
