I used to like these tires. I even autocrossed on them and did some track events on a set way back when... 15 years ago?
Taking the Dunlop Direzza ZIII's off and putting the Toyo T1-R's on was night and day!
They're MUCH quieter and smoother riding, which is nice. But, the first time I turned in for a curve, I was like... "wait, I turned the wheel, right? I'm sure I turned the wheel." The grip is adequate, but the steering response is... lacking. The lighter weight can be felt, too. Not so much in acceleration (the car is still a slug), but in braking.
I'll end up putting a lot more air pressure in them to compensate. Which is better for fuel economy, anyway.
