Nitto NT NeoGen VRs?

I'm in the market to replace my old Hankooks and I'd like something relatively grippy, responsive, and a tire that can handle the ridiculous amounts of camber I'll have till I get around to buying a camber kit. From what I've seen by way of customer reviews, the Nittos seem to be the best buy compared to its competitors, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them here. I'll be running 205/50/15s, FWD of course, mostly DDing with some autocrossing as well. I don't care about road noise, or ride harshness, just grip, life, and decent characteristics at the edge of performance.

funny thing about Grip and tread Life is you always trade one for the other! So good luck finding both. I just went with High grip and Azenis with low tread life. Prior to that I had some Hankook K106's which seemed to be a good balance of grip and tread life.

Ha! I have the same exact size tires powered by a B18C and I have the G-Force Sports. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the others for comparision, nor have I autocrossed these tires. On the street, they're fairly decent and predictable at edge. But if you're going to put tires on before you fix your camber issues, I'd go for cheap...they're not going to last too long anyway Yellow_Colorz_PDT_35 Btw, what is "DDing"? Designated Driving? :P

Nice. Is it a GSR Integra or a swap?

The Type R LSD I got with the swap likes to eat tires, so i don't expect long life, but the longer the better.

He has a GS-R.

What are you alignment specs? Honestly that looks a lot more like a toe issue than camber.

I've run -2.5 degrees before with no abnormal tire wear. I think my GS-R is currently at -1.5 and hasn't been aligned in about 6-7 years and still gets no abnormal tire wear, with tire life over 20k on ES-100s, which I tear through a lot quicker than my favorite tire the S-03.

When I bought the Miata, it had BFG G-Force Sports on it...tolerable for daily driving, absolute crap for autocrossing.

On my FWD I just put on Falken Azeni 615s. They are meaty on the corners and seem sticky. Test and Tune is ongoing at Fowler/75 cloverleaf.
I'm looking forward to AXing them.

I bet the star spec z1's wouldn't be too bad for a DD. I may go with those on my Sentra.

My friend put the non-starspec Z1s on his S2000 and he loves them. His main complaint is that they take a little while to build up heat before they really grip for all they're worth. The Starspec is supposedly reformulated to fix that issue and build heat quicker without compromising max heat capacity and getting greasy with prolonged running. His other complaint is that he feels the sidewalls could be a bit stiffer but that's nitpicking. Otherwise he loves the Z1s and from what I hear the Starspecs should only be better.

Well I got the Nittos for a good deal, $40 cheaper for the tires, mounted, balanced, and aligned than anywhere else I went to. My front tires are completely destroyed now, cord showing on both of the inner shoulders. I did a little check and I have a quarter inch of toe in on each front tire, hence the alignment.

Testing will go underway on monday when they're fitted.

Well I just got them on today, and man is it like night and day. Going from old, dry rotted Hankooks to these bad boys, wow. The I75 to I4 interchange was too crowded for me to even get close to the limits of the tires, and the hillsborough 280 degree exit was taken at 40mph well within the comfort zone of the tires. I need to push them past the limit so I know how they'll act, but after that I plan on frequenting the Ashley Drive exit quite a bit this week. :)
