Yeah, that's a nice idea. But, I've autocrossed on all-season tires in the rain before. It's really not all that.

I'm gonna have to stick with desperately sandbagging the practice rounds to get everybody off guard in competition. Hey, it worked for Chris Meier a couple years ago!

It's such an irregular event, there is no "normal". I think we had something over 30 last time. I really expected more this time, but it's hard to push a higher entry fee special event when your own club does an event every other week, and other clubs have regular events going on all the time, too.

But, we've got enough people to do 4 brackets, and a pretty good mix of competition. It'll be a good time!

The S1/S2 is anyone's race (except for Ben who's all ready done the calcs and surveyed his Tshirt closet space) all fast accurate RWD drivers. Be warned the last time I did this I threw away one victory by taking out the last apex cone which flew into one or two other cones costing me what would have been a relatively easy 1+ car length win (in hind sight as you cannot see the other driver until the finish line). There was no need for me to hit any cones as it turned out. Hit 'em if you must but it isn't required. Also don't be concerned if you lose your first heat as you can come right back on the next one = great format here to recover and win.

S4/S5 has mostly FWD = poor Loren. :whip: If he don't leave 'em on the launch with all that sand he's got issues.

Why you cannot beat me. 5.161 seconds in less than 3 minutes

Air Force Test

The object of the game is to move the red block around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls.

If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It's been said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are expected to go for at least 2 minutes.

Holy crap, I could waste a lot of time with that. I can get to 10.5 easily, hit 13.4 once. Would be a lot harder if it started in a different position each time.

Loren = target

Dude you are so predictable when given a REAL challenge.

Okay you totally kicked my ass this time. But then there is the actual "duel".

Ben aka "grasshopper" once told you he would kick your ass and actually did it.

I fist bumped Ben when he actually pulled that off. Rethinking his "3 some". Damn you Ben you devil you. Jamie "ewwwww" squared.

Just in case someone else tries harder than you did, Doug: 16.5

I bet Jeremy could go all day.

Isn't "sandbagging" not to let the other guy you're holding back ?

Sandbagging describes someone who underperforms (usually deliberately) in an event. The term has multiple uses, such as a driver who competes in an event in a series below their level of expertise to finish high. The term can also be used to describe a fast driver who holds back during a race until just before the end, when they suddenly pass up through the field to win the event.

Good to know what your game plan is ! :chuckle:

I had to say something lol. :)

But how does "sandbagging" work on a Duel event ? Unless the practice runs are timed, how will anyone else know how fast the other cars out there are running ?
