The only problem (not really a problem, just a thing) is that if we copy the lists into our own document, we then either have to accept that our classes aren't keeping up with the changes in the SCCA classes (probably not the best idea), or somebody will have to remember to update that document every year. It's simpler FOR US as things are, we just say "go to the SCCA's online rule book and look up your car".
Anytime we create more work, we create one more thing that can be forgotten, and one more thing we have to find someone to do.
