Steve says we need "everything".
Eric was gonna stock up on supplies, but he's only working with his Vette. Maybe coordinate with him and work it out?

Eric, why don't you take lunch and I'll get supplies?

This stuff might be a tight fit in your vette :)
6-7 x 24 packs of water
4-5 Cases of soda
4-5 bags of ice

I'll more than certainly trade! I was going to get everything wednesday and I can admit I was sweating it a bit. Walgreens has soda on sale right now.

I think I saw your name on the site entry list, Kenny. On of the perks of being the "results guy", I guess. PM me and I'll verify.

Yep, looks like it's going to be a wet one. Gotta remember gloves (those cones get nasty), rain coat, spare shoes, spare socks, and a spare t-shirt this time. Hope everyone can still make it. I find it to be quite fun in the rain/wet, but I don't run race slicks...yet.

Oh man I hope it holds off till late afternoon. I wish my dad was here. He can do a killer anti-rain dance. Yeah we got native-american in the blood line. 8) I'll be stocking up on rain gear tonight and I'm not going to wash the car, so I'm doing my part.

To the Chair....

If there is a chance to rain and the track is mostly dry tomorrow morning, would it be possible to run the groups with race tires first? Just a thought...

Thanks for your consideration,

John

Nice idea, but given that we're running essentially two separate events (one on each course) with barely 30 drivers each, and that we have a LOT of novices that make sorting the groups a challenge, I'm not going to try to rearrange the groups at this point.

Remember that each group is running twice, early and late. So you'll get some runs in before noon and some after noon. Very likely that even if it rains in the afternoon, your morning runs will be dry.

I'm still holding out for no rain! Come prepared, of course. (if that means bringing rain tires or a rain vehicle... well, there ya go)

I'm all set. I actually have tires with tread (different brands front and rear, but WTH), rear suspension that works (thanks to our very own Jeff Lloyd of 1st Place Auto who is the master at solving other shop's problems) and I've checked my fluid levels. Oil is OK; coolant needs a top up for some reason.

Sounds familiar...just had to replace the radiator cap on my vette.
