That's good. You've got enough points for the season, eh? Sheesh, this will only be my second event of the season!

Wow. 10 entries in the last 24 hours. Excellent!

The running total's on the first page, heading the list of volunteers. We're close enough to the 75-person limit and the entry deadline that I'm not going to change the event cap...as soon as that happens, we'll have six people want to bring guests with them and have to start turning people down. I figure we'll hit 60 by tomorrow night and I'll have two or three e-mails asking if there's any extra space...will accomodate as we're able.

Today Willemina was working on her recipe for the vegetable soup; a variation on minestrone. I'm very happy to say that she made enough for me to be eating this delicious soup for lunch and dinner for days! Yellow_Colorz_PDT_12 This batch has a nice kick from the pepper.

No decision yet on the second soup, but it will have some sort of meat in it.

Figured we'd have a good surge after the new year. Just glad we aren't running this weekend, it'll be WAY too cold, except I'm ready to unleash the beast.

We are full up -- 60 drivers, 15 guests. Possibly one of the guests may convert to a driver...supposed to send me information.

I'm running this weekend....

If you need some volunteers for teardown, Doug and I are available. Right now, I believe we are just scheduled to be course workers.

I hate to be the one to say it, but no. All names must be submitted 10 days prior and we maxed out our 75 person limit as well.

Wow, I can't believe it's here already. Is there anything else that needs to be done prior to Sunday? Supplies, fuel, etc...

And please don't drive all the way there thinking you'll be able to get them in anyway. If they aren't on our entry list, we will not allow entry.

Ed,
Usually someone goes out that morning to get generator gas. As for supplies, did someone volunteer for that job? If not, you'll want to draft someone that morning to take inventory and make a run to Walmart.

We already have two people plugged into the work assignment, but if you want to hang around and pitch in anyhow, we can always use extra hands.

The lunch menu is now pretty much finalized. The meal will be:

Sandwich: your choice of ham or turkey, with swiss cheese on white or wheat
Home-made soup, your choice of minestrone or chicken noodle
Chips
Home-made chocolate chip cookies (lots of baking to be done tomorrow!)

We are still working on exactly what will be in the sandwich. The shopping for supplies is happening tonight so I'll know later in the day.
Sounds great. I'd be happy with lettuce and tomato. Add bacon and I'll bring extra tip money!
