Yeah, but isn't Ron going to be driving your car? With you not around? Dude, that car's gonna be like "rental car" fast! :snicker:

That's right. I expect Ron to take home a trophy. Everyone knows rental cars can defy the laws of physics.

Ben's car is strange. Every other Miata on the face of the planet will run an entire event on negative fuel -- the gauge reading below E!

I know! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself. Could be a cruddy strainer on the fuel pickup or something. I don't remember if he ever changed that, or just resolved to keep the fuel level above 1/4 tank.

I remember doing skidpad practice in it, and it would start stumbling after about a lap and a half.

I've replaced the fuel pump and didn't pay attention to the orientation of the pickup. I never had fuel starvation issues before then, so I'm fairly confident it's my fault. I never bothered to fix it though, so it's a handy excuse when driving the 10AE.

Yes, it is true that John's car is, as we speak, sitting in my driveway awaiting tomorrow. I wouldn't worry though. I could only get to 20.3 seconds on Doug's test.

I think closing the tab on that was one of the best decisions I've ever made. :derp:

Okay Ladies.

Here's the deal. The "test" was to get you ready for the "real test".

Everyone in S1+S2 has beaten me and I have beaten them. So who knows?

The "real test" is to take on a 5 time National Champion in the Finale. I know I can get him with a "hole shot".

I will spend the rest of tonite listening to country western music AND drinking cheap lite beer. (Brian scares me.)

"Hole Shot." Go Ron in your latest borrowed shopping cart. Watch out for Brian as he will be 1/2 tanked like me.

Dudes.

Gas is cheap. We will have more than 1/2 a tank of the "good stuff". So Brian and I will be more than 1/2 tanked.

My needle is at 3/4 in the GreyV8.

Best to be alert tomorrow!! Get a good nite's sleep if you can?

I'm bringing a fresh bottle of green slime to help with all the deflated egos.

Yeah, I got that a lot when I first started growing my stache longer a couple years ago. My wife hates the curly handlebar, though. So, I only play with it like that on special occasions such as the Duel!

Here's the Post-Event Discussion.
