I wish I still have time to change the clutch, but I guess I don't have enough time to do it now. It is still the original OEM clutch, but it works fine.

Thanks!
Learn to drive first, besides tires it's your best investment at this point.

I think I mentioned this before, Andy, but I'd be hesitant to call that an "autocross" due to the high potential for vehicle damage. Cones leave cone marks, or on rare occasions a tiny ding. Those barriers could take out a fender and leave someone very unhappy.

It does look fun, though! I'd do it in a heartbeat... I just wouldn't call it an "autocross".

Cpt_Rum-bo wrote:So almost four months after moving I was able to run my first autox down here. I have to say this course was insanely fun to drive. Almost felt like a full racing circuit.

Won my class by a wide margin and was up there with the street tyre group :)

Here's a couple vids of my runs!

Looks like fun and congratulations on the win! The first video was scary when that mustang comes understeering right toward the camera. Be safe out there.

Heads up, Drew. As soon as I get a chance, I'm splitting your East Coast posts out into a new thread. (unless some other mod beats me to it)

Hello all, just signed up for the Nov 10th AutoX event at SPC and figured I would drop in the forums to introduce myself. I plan on bringing my 2013 Focus ST but also drive a 1976 MGB.

We've got some folks who are itching to see the new Focus ST in action. And others of us who can sympathize with the MGB.

Welcome!

I am really looking forward to the opportunity to drive it hard. My track experience is limited to e30's so it should be fun to switch from driving a RWD death trap to a FWD computer. The MGB is a fun cruiser and a great way to keep a coat of grease/oil under my finger nails.

hello, was looking up stuff on google about racing tracks in Tampa/St. Pete and saw this come up instead. Not really complaining since I may as well look for something to do while i look for a job.

Anyway introductions: Names Johnny, I drive a white 1988 Merkur XR4TI, sadly with an automatic (will be swapped sometime when we get all the parts), i also drove a 77 malibu bout last year, so if you saw a black/gray primered 2 door malibu making loud noises around st. pete, that was me.

I moved to florida bout two years ago to live with my dad, and once i moved here i got interested in cars and racing. Particularly formula 1. And in about april i'll be going to Ptec so i can learn mechanic type stuff. And lately I've been looking for people to hang around with and talk cars, and hopefully race.

Any experience i have in racing is either karting at Tampa bay grand prix, or video games. Hopefully i get a little more then that after joining here eh?
