I need to set that up this weekend. It'll appear on the schedule as a separate "event". Look for the annoucement in a few days.
I'll keep my eye out for it. Somebody nabbed my number for this event

So hopefully I can grab it for the remainder.

No...there's no "your" number until you cough up $20 and reserve it.

I've set it up, though -- everyone can start reserving numbers tomorrow. See the annoucement in the "Upcoming Events" forum, or
http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frm ... t_id=12575" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for details. Note that if you want to use the number for this month, shoot a note to the info mailbox (
not here!) and we should be able to work it out.

Oops. Just ordered a new set of tires.
I didn't mean to, it just sort of happened! I intended to run at least a couple of events on the crappy 225's that are on the car now.
Really, I was looking at prices for Joe's Miata just to see what was what and decided to see if the RS3 prices in my size had changed. Then I saw it...
235/45-17 Goodyear F1's on closeout for $88 each! And better still, 235/40-17's for $77 each! That's $200/set cheaper than the RS3's at $135 each. They may or may not be as good as the RS3 (apparently, they've been discontinued due to complaints of poor treadwear and road noise... all reports are that they have GREAT grip wet and dry), but for this price, I can live with it. Can't even get crappy all-season tires for this price!
Look out S2000's, here I come!

looks like you cant use the tires as an excuse now... to bad you had like three weeks between that and the race.. no one would ever question that kinda planning

I only wish I could "plan" closeout sales that save me $50/tire!

You'll LOVE the goodyears for the track, and you'll HATE them for everything else. To say I'm an anti-goodyear guy, is the understatement of the year!! And the complaints are dead on.

Just looked at the pre-reg list. Where the hell are all the formerly-G-class guys that should be in S3???
Well, one of them appears to be in S1 in a Mustang.
There's also a Miata down in S5 that should be in S4.

Probably just the usual newb misclassings there, no biggie. But all the "SCCA F Stock" type cars (our new S3) are clearly MIA... there should be at least 4-5 of them.

Well just went through the new rules, so with my manual boost controller I guess I'm in M1 (ASP/BSP)... I guess it's time to save up for suspension and tires.

All of the mod classes seem to be extremely popular, too.
Not sure what's up with S1... maybe the price of S2000's has finally come down low enough for the average joe to afford one?

Yeah. But, don't worry, all the Miatas and Mustangs in M2 are slow.

I checked...our average Joes (Vance, Baker) are still driving Miatas in S2.
S2Ks area certainly well-represented, though, and in S1, all but Jeremy Williams are novices...
