Yeah, you're right Charles. I think it's in the tool box...which probably just gets thrown in. I haven't had a chance to make it by the trailer. Been super swamped.

Hope to finally make it by the trailer this weekend! So, two new locks are needed, measure ball height while trailer is level, and measure for a swing-jack. Anything I'm missing?

What about just getting a trailer dolly? Looks like it's not TOO big to squeeze into the trailer. No interference with the spare tire for sure.

I don't think it'd make it easy enough for one person to maneuver the trailer around.

But as narrow as the space is, just the ability to jockey-shuffle the trailer a little bit would be a big help sometimes.

yes, that's what I meant.

The tailer is a whopping 3 miles from my house and I've still yet to make it by. I did try to grab new locks for the trailer, but home depot only had one of the types we were looking for. Going to try again this week to grab a pair of new locks. Should I just get the trailer dolly, or do I still need to measure for the swing jack?

I believe that the dolly will be easier than a wheel. If you want to move the trailer tongue sideways, you just put the dolly at 90 degrees to the tongue and yank, as opposed to having to overcome the direction of the wheel if it isn't pointed where you want it to be. Downsides to the dolly are it has tires that will go flat and make it useless, and it is a bit cumbersome (it could get positioned in the trailer where you couldn't get it out to use it).

I think I still vote dolly but am open to other thoughts.

I looked to find combo locks with the dials at the bottom and found them to be quite pricey. If you want to get key locks I have a key lock box I can donate. Its the type realtors use at the front entry door.

I will be picking up the trailer sometime around 2 on Friday. So either have it in place and pass the combo on to me or wait till Saturday morning to swap it over. Eric I could meet you at your work or at Howard's if you can get out early. You work in Largo, right?

Another recommendation for a dolly vs wheel. I've moved trailers with my dolly that I could barely budge with a wheel.

Don't want key locks, that could be a pain in the ass. A forgotten combo just takes a phone call. A forgotten key?

We want good, reliable, easy-to-use combo locks. If they're less than $20 each buy them. If they're more than that, consult with Steve. (and we'll probably still buy them)

I should be able to run by at lunch on thursday, or I can certainly meet you at the trailer on Friday. If I make it thursday, I'll text you the combos.

For sure, for sure! Stopping by Harbor Freight on the way home if I get out of work at a decent time tonight to give the place a once over.

Found a new collapsible 4 way lug wrench I'm the Tech box as I was cleaning it out. So that's where it is.

If your still needing help on the trailer. I have alot of sources in the lower pinellas county for parts.
