You mean like most cars in Modified R2? Maybe we need to clean house and kick a lot of cars out of R2 and into R1? Jamie can drive in R2 by himself.

Being trailered doesn't mean it's a race car, it just means that it's a POS with no tags/insurance.

I know, I know. I gave that argument up a long, long time ago.

Even though you can get away with a lot on a trailered car that you wouldn't on a daily driver. "Grenade" engine? No problem for a 5-minute-per-month trailered "street car". Swiss-cheesed brake rotors? No problem.

Lots of things you wouldn't do to a car that you ACTUALLY drive on the street are fair game for a trailered car. Not saying that anyone here is or would do that sort of thing, just saying.

14 entries already - all very familiar names.
Us regulars learn "fast." heehee...

I'll co-chair with someone who's willing to do most of the work...preferrably someone wanting to get their feet wet, so to speak. 8-)
Well I guess I'm going to chair this event with you my friend. Nothing but a huge three quarter mile slalom lol.

Seriously I have a idea for a nice course for Brooksville.

Yeah yeah and I can ride my bike with no handlebars.
(Oh god that was awful...how old were you when you made that and did your mom know you were standing on her car? :d

True enough. Having an interior goes hand in hand (for most people) with a car being a legitimate street car, which is our intent. If it's a car that is never street driven, gets brought in on a trailer, etc... oh, wait... nevermind...

Hurray for Brian & Steve!

Less than 2.5 days into pre-registration, 34 entries already. Going fast, get in if you can.

By the way... I'd suggest NOT pushing this to other car forums... we don't need 6 random newbs from _insert-forum-here_ signing up... try to just let things be for a while. We have PLENTY of regulars*, and we're not hard to find if people are looking. We don't need extra event promotion at this time.

* We consider anyone who's done 4 events in the past 12 months to be a "member"... we have OVER 50 of them!

So Brian is working on the course and he's gonna do lunch and work assignments and the drivers' meeting and I think he said he was gonna wash my car before and after the event but I told him that was crazy - washing after the event would be plenty :thumbwink:

So can someone tow the trailer (Brian's got enough to do, you know?)

That's been happening a lot lately. I think people are trying to update their work assignment preferences, but somehow screwing it up. I don't know if it's the system or the user. (not that I have any control over either) I've probably had 3-4 email notification emails for entries on this event come in with stuff like that in one or more of the name fields (one of them was Charles, I think). But, I guess most people check their entry on the list and make corrections, because the one above is the only one left.

If it doesn't get corrected, I'll figure out who it is and fix it next time I'm in there.

This happened with my entry, too. I had to re-edit my preferences and they worked the second time. Seems like a bug in the MAE website...

I would bet Mr. Starter Grid is actually Jim Swayne.
