What's that clicking noise your car makes?
It sounded like the side exhaust banging from the timing trailer.

So, which was the better slalom path? Left or right of the first cone? I always went to the left and never tried the other way, but when I was working the course at station 4, I had a great view of a lot of people apparently trying "the other way" and being surprised at the curve. Plenty of off-course calls for missing cones there.

I will call that "The Learning Curve".

Left was a jalapeno pepper = slower going in but hotter going out.

Right was like too much cheese = easy to swallow but hard push on the way out.

Anyhow that was my goal in coming up with that. It seemed to work.

That's exactly what it was. I asked him about it earlier that day.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

You pretty much quoted "Sir Loren" concerning a successful SPC course design. BUT remember time and speed are principles of science/physics too. As is driving by buns.

Shitty install of the exhaust system. The muffler came out of a hanger and was being "ground down" by the u-joint on the drive shaft. It's all my fault for not installing the exhaust myself. I picked up the parts last night for the fix (Flowmaster 40s FTW).

Okay no more BS. If you weren't a miser and would have expended ONLY one of six runs to find out you'd have learned if you were one of the few who could benefit from a right start. It was "doable" for some. You will never know for sure unless you Chair an event and repeat this course.

Sorry Dude. :dunno:

I had a great time at the event. Thanks to Doug and everyone else. It was a great course, and a great lunch! Let's have that food next time at SPC.

Once again, Thanks Ed for letting me share your car! I had a great time driving it! Mustang power!
