You can adjust the alignment to use a couple degrees less caster, that also helps with steering effort.
But, yeah, get out there and start competing. It's the only way to find out what the car needs.
Battery Tie Down...

Any fellow 240sx owners that have relocated their battery to the back have any suggestions for a battery tie down that passes tech for FAST events.
I have the supplied straps that came with my box but I have had it move on me before in spirited driving situations. I know I'll be tossing it around hard so I figured it would be wise to ask for input from those with experience. If you have relocated your battery, your input will be greatly appreciated and if its in a 240sx, doubly so.
Thanks.

Anyone else have the "pleasure" of dealing with Enjuku Racing's wonderful customer service and shipping practices?
They have me on the edge of my seat waiting for a set of extended wheel studs that I ordered last Saturday. Monday I received an email that said the items would be coming to me in seperate shipments...and since i didnt get an update about the items leaving their building yesterday, I called. "Oh, It looks like they were on back order"...is the last thing you want to hear a few days before your first auto-x event.
I'm pretty certain that no one wants a car zipping around the course with just 3 studs on a wheel. So i'm stressing until I get these studs. It would suck if I have to pass on this months event, but better safe that sorry.
Thanks for reading my rant. Back to your regularly scheduled forum ....

It's technically a motorcycle battery I think.

I daily drove one for a couple years then it started acting weird. Now it lives on a charger between events.
Why don't you just throw in any stud to get you running? Yes you are correct in that a missing stud/lug will not pass tech.

Cool info on the battery. I will definately consider making that switch. Looks almost ideal in regards to foot print.
As far as finding a stud to pop in, I wish I could. My brakes make it necessary to run a hub-centric spacer, in which case a standard stud wont do the trick. I need 50mm at a minimum. I want to go 5 lug. Eventually Ill get the proper offset wheels, but until then I will make do with the 4 lug wheels.
However, I did just get off the phone with Enjuku. I spoke to Alex, who seemed to know his stuff. He went into their warehouse and tracked down the studs I needed. He also expedited the shipping, getting Saturday delivery for me as well. My fingers are crossed.
