Last year I drove my '93 Miata on 175/70-14 all-season tires and finished behind Doug by a mere 4/10 per lap. He's so intimidated that he's not even gonna show up this year! I'm gunning for FTD this time.
Yes I am totally blown away. His tiny rubbers are really scarey.

Charles did "his job" and won. Jeremy turned his head and coughed for the nut drop test finishing "second" to Sir Loren. Knighted by the Queen with her sword and Fondled by the King by his hand he is nearly unstoppable.

So next year with Sir Loren of Williams coming into S2 I'll have to occassionally beg Sir Gerry, Sir Vance and Sir Ledwell to co- drive their 8"and 9" flanges against the comedy team of Loren and Benjamin with their Ron Rice component car.

See ya next year.

I couldn't have said that better myself.

In fact, I'm not sure I could have said that myself!

Well, I think the car is ready for this one. Suspicious of my alignment after it not responding how I expected last event, I took some measurements today. Since TBD, I gained a whole degree of positive camber on the passenger side and gained 1/2 degree negative on the driver's side. :derp:
I also gained 1/8" of total toe-out. I figure everything is well settled now, and I re-aligned it, so maybe it will be good again.
Not sure I'll scare the cat and mouse, but I'll make them nervous.

That last SPC course was mostly lefts, too... (who designed that course, anyway?) Having a degree less than optimal camber on the right side would definitely have had an impact.

I'm sure I will be corrected, but I believe the early session has 26 drivers ? :dunno:

Everybody's a critic.

Yes, the early session has 26 drivers. Gives two even groups of 13... assuming everyone shows up. I didn't think that one extra person that I let into the morning session would mind.

And if the afternoon session gets that far, I'll let 26 in there, too. I like even-sized groups.

Entry is limited to 50 drivers (25 Early & 25 Late)

I will be damned, seems like I did read the rules correctly. ;)

I just explained why I allowed 26 drivers, get over it.

(I can't get most people to read ANYTHING that's important... and I get this... geez!)

I just looked at the entry list and noticed that another RX8 entered in M1. I registered as M2. Do i need to change that? The only thing knocking me out of stock is 17" wheels. OE is 18"

The RX-8 is classed in M1.

Ok. I'll correct that when I get home. If my entry changes to an 05 black "miata", its because my compression tested low and I don't need any prior auto crossing evidence. ;)

Unless you've done some suspension work I'd assume your RX-8 would remain in FAST S2 with any size wheels/tires you choose to run?

Maybe Loren knows something special about your car?

Running the rpm crap/carbon out of it can be good for low compression sometimes - just don't shut it off all day as can be hard to start.

I didn't really pay attention to anything but the question of M1 or M2, which I looked up.

Wheels don't take you out of stock, Johnny. Run 20x12's, we don't care.

(read the rules!)
