Oh, there will be racing!

Thanks for the link. The guy who owns the 'vert at this shop is a Mustang expert (read: know-it-all) so I feel comfortable consulting him.

yeah, called a Sawz all and two coils....If the car didn't have to remain (sorta) stock the aftermarket makes some insane suspensions for those cars.

BTW when you do that you can create a .25 inch plate that goes in behind the upper control arm to prevent spreading and flex. Make it out of cardboard first then duplicate it in steel, I don't think you can get it from the aftermarket since..oh about 1975.

is that part of the "Shelby" mod? But I guess it to fix the suspension geometry, and any drop is just a byproduct.

No this "plate" goes near the upper control arm and lies flat inside the shock tower, where it is welded in.

Go by Dom's shop if you get the chance, back in the day I made several of them for his cars, they were all cut and fitted, then cut some more, like I said no one makes them anymore. I'm not even sure which cars they are in but as a general rule we put them in everything. Make sure he knows what you're talking about, the brace that goes behind the upper control arm,BTW if you say "strut tower brace" he won't have a clue because us old timers call those "export braces". and the "strut tower brace" is not widely used (by us), that's newbie thing.
So not the "strut tower brace", not the "export bar" but the fabricated brace behind the upper control arm on the outside of the engine bay.

We went to the Webster Swap meet Saturday and then to NPD (National Parts Depot) and acquired full length floor pans, seat risers and some other sheet metal. Got some new doorcards also, in black. So I guess I will be changing the interior to black now (from red).

Parts bins are full, time to get to work!

Yes, I found the mod you were talking about. I have the link somewhere. When I get back to a non-mobile device I will post it. It looks pretty simple to make.

Spent some time on the '95 (yea I still haven't tried to sell it yet) and the '66 yesterday. New rearend fluid for the Muskrat, gut the interior of the new Old Muskrat. What did I get myself into?

Note: Gear oil in the eye = sucks. At least it was new gear oil. Do you think Ford could have made that filler plug any less accessible?

Is that what you call an "open diff"?

I also found the heater box to be in less than great shape so, I figured, it ain't got A/C so what do I need heat for? I removed the heater box but will re-install the just blower motor and defroster duct work since that was still in really good shape. One Blacksheep type control knob where the radio used to be and I'm done.
