'Extra parts' will happen on any car.

Soon all car engines will be aluminum and make double the power of 5/10 years ago...

See you in January.

I dunno. This car was trailered to event and was pristine.

This guy had more money than God and had this done professionally to a brand new car.

1.5 runs and toast. He never got to drive it. Never saw them again. Car totalled? Wouldn't surprise me. I definately remember him saying: "Don't suppose this will be a warrantee claim?"

One pix of burned ass from oil and other pix of the aluminum block I picked up off the track. My highly boosted turbo cars all had cast iron blocks. Just sayin'.

Suit yourself.
:-( that's very unfortunate. I suppose nobody ever found out what the cause of this was? Gotta make sure that won't be me. But then i guess you're not having fun if you're not breaking things right?

Safe to say a rod(s) went thru the side of the block. Probably would have put a hole in iron too

I believe that was a Corvette event, and I saw them back with a new engine several times after that.
I would bet they are still running every corvette event, but they might have a new car by now.

I'm still trying to remember why I had a camera with me? Never do.
You're probably totally right. A test and tune makes alot of sense.
Probably put a low compression turbo motor in it :snicker:
