Looks like a good one, looking forward it ! I can print up some course maps, though I doubt we will need as many as I printed up last Saturday lol.

Nah, shouldn't need more than 25-30. Supposed to be experienced folk here, they should print their own full-color course map... with all their shift and braking points marked, turn radii calculated, expected cornering speeds...

Did someone say Doug was Co-Chair AND the driver meeting would only last 10 minutes?

Doug will be in charge of lunch, NOT the driver's meeting! :snicker:

Yes Loren wants DM to be over in only 10 minutes which doesn't leave time for any stories. :pointlaugh:

Good news is we will receive normal stickers for the first 3 positions @ awards ceremony. I think I can do that course in 45 seconds. Woohoo.

Wow my memory is getting worse as another birthday passes. Steve reminded me that this course was the one we both designed, and if I remember correctly, the turnaround didn't translate very well to the pavement. I believe it was opened up so much that the idea of making cars run west to east for a few feet, turned into a slight curve. :? The course was still very fun and flowed well.

I remember that part of the course. The problem was that the little straight section was set up too wide. They actually set it a good 25-30 feet apart, which allowed it to be driven like the usual sweeper.

This time, it's going to be more narrow (but not painfully so), so while it MIGHT still be drivable as a sweeper, it's going to be really challenging to nail that line.

Keep in mind, the course map is just an approximation. Especially for a manuever like that. It probably won't go down EXACTLY like that, but if you have that in your head, you certainly won't get lost!

This was a very fun course and I look forward to getting another shot at it. Always telling to compare times on a similar course.

Unfortunately, the results from the prior use of this course are MIA. We've lost a few over the years, and this was one. Not on the website, can't find them in my archive.

But, this version won't quite compare, anyway. The major tweak to this course was to take some length out of the longer sections making the overall length of the course shorter. Trying to keep the start interval down so that we can ensure 8+ runs at this event without running late with it.

WAPOOMA have you been browsing too much reddit Doug? Sounds like a subject line to a post from an attention starved young "lady". Maybe it'll catch on!

I need to find a battery tray as this is quickly approaching and I managed to waste away my day off.

Yep, 8 runs is the goal, Doug. That's half the point of the "Classic" events. Fewer people, less fuss, more runs.
