Was just looking at the season points and realized that it's impossible for me to trophy in M0. I'll only have four events in class, five are required!
That is a whole bunch of stagger, I suppose that is what happens when you hang the engine off the back axle? I assume you got your Hankooks from the Tire Rack at the closeout price?tdinfl wrote:Nice Les. Tim, the rears are stock size. I went one larger (245 vs. 235) on the front, hopefully to help a little with pushing. Excited to try out the Hankooks!
No worries Loren, it is now impossible for me to catch you in S2. I sold the bimmer last Friday. Unless I can bum a ride in a competitive S2 car and win the next 2 events, you've got that locked up now.Loren wrote:Was just looking at the season points and realized that it's impossible for me to trophy in M0. I hope my new steamrollers make it in time! (my wheels aren't this wide though)tdinfl wrote:Getting ready for next month's event! (slightly smaller than life-size)

They're great tires while they last, they heat cycle well and maintain grip, problem is they don't last long.tdinfl wrote:Nice Les. Tim, the rears are stock size. I went one larger (245 vs. 235) on the front, hopefully to help a little with pushing. Excited to try out the Hankooks!
What!! No more Barney jokes? Those stopped when you started beating everyone.jesup16 wrote:No worries Loren, it is now impossible for me to catch you in S2. I sold the bimmer last Friday. Damn, if I don't miss the last two points events, I will just squeak in. If I somehow end up winning the class because of Loren's default, then we need to place a asterisk next to my name, because it's a win by a technicality.Loren wrote:Was just looking at the season points and realized that it's impossible for me to trophy in M0. I fixed my last post and made it a little more clear.Loren wrote:We always put an question mark next to your name, Brian.
*Brian* Who's the guy with the two asstricks?Solar wrote:I fixed my last post and made it a little more clear.Loren wrote:We always put an question mark next to your name, Brian.
tdinfl wrote:Les, no kidding about the stagger! Yes, they are compensating for my "interesting" weight distribution. No, I didn't get the closeout prices. These are the new generation tires. They had fronts in my size in the closeout, but not rears. I wanted to get a matching set.
I just couldn't take the Barney jokes!! Long story short, it was a good opportunity and price to get out of the M3. I'm trying to convince the new owner to bring it out to a few events...Don't worry, I'll be picking up something equally competitive, albeit in a different class. NO, it won't be a miata.twistedwankel wrote:

You were so darn fast in that thingHope you made a shitton of $$ off him.
Sorry can't help you in S2 as running in S3 the last two events in Shamu.
That sucks having a brand new car hammered on!! Won't wish that on anyone. I could get a couple Shamu's for that.Shifterracer wrote:I'm registered, but for the afternoon session. I have a feeling I'm going to need to give the body shop all the time they need to get my car back to me. Total damage was $8k and I'm not expected to get it back until the week of this event! Crossing my fingers i'll get it back in time for this event, and have new shoes on her!
I'm betting you could bat better than 600 doing that. Do I smell a contest?Loren wrote:I'm almost done with the results. Think anyone would notice if I posted them before the event?
