I like the site but I really don't like the fact paypal isn't accepted. Do you know if they have any plans to add that as a method of payment?
Also, at a classic event, can I ask someone at the event that is not an instructor drive my car for run? And if so would that run count against him, myself, or neither?

PayPal won't happen unfortunately. I read a description of why somewhere, but suffice it to say that they don't like PayPal.
Here's the software developer's answer:
Why no PayPal?
If you're big into PayPal, you could do this:
https://www.paypal-prepaid.com/ Then you'd have a CC you could use, and transfer funds directly from your PayPal account to it.

There are no formal instructors at a Classic event. If you want to let someone drive your car, you can do that. It would count as one of their runs. But, runs are in abundance at a Classic event.
People swap rides at Classic events all the time.

Gah! It's a Classic, so I can't get there before the second group starts... will have to wait for the next event.
On the upside, I already have an account with MotorsportsReg.com and the site works very nicely IMHO.

It does. And, I'm just blown away with all the functionality on the back end.

BTW, in contrast to the short course we did at the last event, we've come up with a Really Long Course for this event. It's one of the longest courses we've done at Brooksville, multiple crossovers, good speed, some slaloms, good stuff.
But, I'm not going to post the map.
This course is long enough that it really requires 8 work stations. And to pull that off, we need an absolute minimum of 36 entries. So, when we hit that mark, I'll post the map. If we don't hit that mark, I'll choose another shorter course from the library.
We're at 16 entries so far, so there is potential...

So if I read this correctly, you're saying registration is open ?
I plan on being there because I want my birthday run !
I like Motorsports Reg, very easy to use, and even though they don't accept PayPal it's not a issue for me. I have a separate account from my checking and savings at my bank with a debt card on that account that I use for all online purchases. I use online bank transfers into the account to cover those purchases, that way if the account does get hacked, it won't be for much. Of course some banks charge for transfers, but mine doesn't, at least not yet.

Im tempted to register, will need to see in a week or so. Anyone want to swap a few runs and drive my integra if I do decide to register? Really would like feedback on its setup

I just opened the flood gates and posted this event on Facebook. Be sure to share it with any other car groups you're involved with!

The source of this problem has been found.
<geek>
It has to do with the car number selection box. That box has to pre-load all of the available car numbers that it allows you to select from. We had the range of acceptable car number set to 1-9999 (to allow for any 4-digit number, because it seemed friendly and we didn't see any reason not to), but apparently that is too much and overloads some people's computers/devices. (Can I blame this on Apple? Somebody please tell me that I can blame Apple!)
The solution that was suggested is to reduce the number range to 1-999. But, I know we have at least one permanent number of 1337, so I'm going to set it to 1999 for now and see if that solves the issue.
